ART TIP #6 - How to Make Grafitti Art
Graffiti throw up or throwie is the easiest style in graffiti arts and mostly is seen on stickers in the streets. Some say it is a mess or vandalism if you put it anywhere in outside especially in street at the back of the signage and yes it is true but if you do it nicely and properly for me i will say it is a style or a design.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so if you want to try to make a throw up sticker for your name for fun then i can teach you some easy tips for you to try.
1. Write your desired name in sticker paper.
Tumblr media
for example GOAL make it look simple first then lets slowly turn in into a throw up or throwie.
2. Make your letter like a bubble like form.
Tumblr media
squeeze the letter to each other or it depends on your style. You can make it like its melting or any creativity you can imagine.
3. Fill in with colors of your choice.
Tumblr media
make sure your fill in color will be lighter and make your outline darker or you can make it vice versa it depends on you.
4. Trace the outline with darker color.
Tumblr media
After tracing it you can put some 3D effects on it and then you can finalize your sticker name/throwie.
5. Finalize your sticker.
Tumblr media
add some details in it to highlights your sticker and then cut it so it is ready to be stick your door, water bottle or even in streets if you like.
HAVE FUN DOING IT.

ART TIP #5: THE ART OF BEING A SOCIAL CLIMBER, 3 EASY-STEPS YOU CAN TRY!
Tumblr media
In todays day and age, the glitter and glamour of a social media post can take you to places, literally. With the worlds most followed people on Instagram being either an international Popstar or a Kardashian, a fight between talent and plastic surgeons.
It may be a Eureka moment to ask, how can you portray your alter ego in a world dominated by likes and comments feeding peoples kinks and fetishes, if in reality, your lifestyle may not even be as glamorous as Paris Hilton’s dog, don’t cry. To say the least, it must be really difficult to social climb, right? Or isn’t it?
This blog post will walk you through to a 3-step tutorial on how to achieve everything without basically having nothing. And to put a massive disclaimer, this is not basing upon on any personal experience, God forbid.
Tumblr media
STEP 1: UKAY-UKAY IS LIFE
It is not a question about who has the privilege to afford brand-new clothing, but rather a question of who can slay-the-runway the hardest. In todays time, in this type of economy, clothing  shifted from just a mere need to encapsulate your naked body to a want that unleashes confidence and poise. But that mere need requires an extra glitter of cash, and when in a tight budget, who are you going to call? This time its not the ghost busters, but a magical fairyland of pure fashion style that doesn't break the bank, the Ukay-Ukay.
Tumblr media
STEP 2: BE LIKE DORA THE EXPLORER
Good fashionable outfit is useless if the background of your Facebook profile picture is a stacked domino house, don’t cry. With our childhood hero, Dora The Explorer is here to save the day. The ability to know the right place and in this case it should be for free, since we are on a tight budget, will make any picture worthy of recognition that you, the one reading this is thirsty for, but of course we will not judge, swear.  Iconic structure and crowd-favorite spot that everyone whose part of our little cult surely already knows.
Tumblr media
STEP 3: THE ART OF MULTIMEDIA ARTS
Lastly, and the most important recipe to achieve a not-so-fake online world lifestyle is the talent to create world-competent content. Photography, to have the ability to capture real-life moments and no it wasn’t sarcasm when we say real-life. Videography, if you have the ability to make dancing videos and tick with the rhythm of the tock. Editing, to enhance the facial features of your vogue-ready face minus the red spots. Copywriting, since a good content requires an opposite utterly not connected caption. Social media management, to check the statistics if the likes made any difference. Digital marketing, to sell off your fantasy of a perfect Kardashian-like lifestyle.
Tumblr media
All of these at the end of the very day are mere creation of pure imagination and to repeat, this does not base to any personal experience. Take note, Fashion whether brand-new or second-hand is not worn by people to social climb or to impress other, it is to express their self-being through woven fabric and be the most comfortable in their skin. Landmark places where normal working people visit is not for them to be up-to-trend but for them to unwind and relax and enjoy the beauty of our nature and infrastructure. And lastly, the talent of multimedia artists is not for people to use to portray an alter ego but rather to unleash talent that may benefit corporate and business sectors or even single clients that allows the industry to creatively grow with the help of the art. This blog may took a U-turn but its a good opportunity to say, theres no such thing as social climbing. Break the Stigma. Support the Art.

Art Tip #4 - Painting Techniques
Understanding some basic painting techniques will help you experiment with various styles and create your own unique artistic voice if you're wanting to improve your painting capabilities.
If you're interested in learning more about how to interpret art, check out our videos on where to start for tips on where to look for inferences. ✨
PART 1: Palette Knife
youtube
You might mistakenly believe that a palette knife is just useful for blending paint on the palette; however, this tool can also be utilized to add some distinctive effects to your work that a brush would find challenging to achieve. Just load a small bit of paint onto the edge of the palette knife, and dab the edge of the knife onto the canvas. Simply make sure the paint is applied evenly on the knife's edge. You must also constantly reload your palette knife between strokes because you typically only gets one line every stroke.
PART 2: Pouring Technique
youtube
Pouring is a basic but effective technique that works best with acrylic paint. This method includes pouring paint directly onto a surface and tilting the canvas at various angles to activate the paint and move it around. Acrylic paint must be rendered liquid and pourable with the addition of a Pouring Medium and other components as necessary in order to do the acrylic pouring. With the use of this technique, the colors can naturally meld together to produce colorful, one-of-a-kind artwork that reflects the interactions between colors.
PART 3: Dabbing Technique
youtube
Dabbing Technique involves dabbing paint onto a surface using a stiff bristle brush, paper towel or sponge. Applying the paint fast and gently is recommended. A piece gains movement and texture via dabbing. For example, you may construct treetops that seem to be moving in the wind using the dabbing technique. For inspiration, take a look at some examples of Claude Monet’s work.
PART 4: Sgraffito Technique
youtube
Sgraffito painting technique allows artists to add more colors to underpainting layers once it is completely dried. In order to reveal what is beneath a layer of paint, this includes scratching. Artists can successfully scratch off the superficial layer to reveal distinctive patterns or shapes by covering a previous surface with another layer. It is possible to use any object that will allow you to scratch a line into the paint.
That would be our stop! There's a lot more techniques, so explore more!

Art Tip #1 - Color Theory: A Crash Course
Art isn't complete without colors, right? Unless you'd consider a blank white sheet of paper as art, then by all means...
In today's first stop at the Art Terminal, we will be learning how to use colors using Color Theory! Being knowledgeable about basic color theory can really help you develop your skills as an artist no matter what medium you'll be using - be it traditional art, digital art, or even a mix of both! It may seem confusing at first but with this guide, you'll be making well-coordinated compositions with flying colors in no time!
PART 1: How to use the Color Wheel
This infamous wheel by Isaac Newton helps you see the relationships between the colors.
Keep in mind these 3 categories:
Tumblr media
⓵ Primary Colors: Red┃Blue┃Yellow These are the first three basic colors - all other colors can be created by mixing them in different ways. Tip: mixing all three creates the color brown! ⓶ Secondary Colors: Purple (red+blue)┃Green (blue+yellow)┃Orange (yellow+red) If you've noticed, these colors are created by mixing our primary colors. ⓷ Tertiary Colors: Red-Orange┃Red-Purple┃Blue-Purple┃Blue-Green┃Yellow-Green┃Yellow-Orange As you might have guessed, we get these colors by mixing our primary and secondary colors.
Part 2: What are the Color Properties?
Keep in mind Color has 3 primary properties:
⓵ Hue: the colors in their purest state - or in other words, a color's name.
Tumblr media
⓶ Saturation: the brightness or dullness of a color - the intensity or purity of a hue. Tip: High Saturation/Saturated = color looks very bright ┃ Low Saturation/Desaturation = color looks washed out or greyed out
Tumblr media
⓷ Value: the degree of lightness or darkness of a hue. Tip: There are 3 ways to change a color's value: Shade┃Tint ┃Tone
Tumblr media
Shade/Shading: a shade is a color that is produced by adding black.
Tint: a tint is a color that is produced by adding white.
Tone: a tone is a color that is produced by adding grey.
Tumblr media
PART 3: What is Color Harmony?┃What Color Combinations or Schemes can we use?
Go back to the Color Wheel as it is a good reference in helping you create appealing schemes. Here are 6 common combinations you can apply in your work:
⓵ Analogous: uses colors (around 2-4) that are next to each other in the color wheel - Match them!
Tumblr media
⓶ Complementary: uses colors that are opposite or across of each other on the color wheel - if you can't match 'em, clash 'em with their opposites! Tip: matching these colors creates great contrast and visual interest so they can overpower each other sometimes so keep that in mind.
Tumblr media
⓷ Split-Complementary: 1 base color then 2 colors adjacent to its complementary color - if the contrast too much, split them!
Tumblr media
⓸ Tetradic: uses 2 complementary pairs. This forms a rectangle on the wheel - if you need more variations go double complementary!
Tumblr media
⓹ Triadic: 3 colors that are evenly spaced out in the color wheel. You're free to choose from a variety!
Tumblr media
⓺ Monochromatic: uses different tones, shades, and tints of a singular color. Sometimes it just works!
PART 4: What is Color Temperature?
Ever wonder why some compositions feel cold or hot? It is a fact that color has the ability to evoke feelings or emotions. As such, color temperature is the one responsible for this - it is the "warmth" or "coolness" of a color.
Warm colors: Reds┃Oranges┃Yellows Generally seen as colors that are bright, cheerful, active, or happy
Cool Colors: Purples┃Blues┃Greens Generally seen as colors that are dark, mysterious, melancholic, or gloomy
And that concludes this stop for today! These tips are a lot to take in, we feel you, and that's alright - come back to this station when you need a quick reference. We hope you learned a lot from this and that you'll be able to apply them in your paintings or digital illustrations!
Now pack your art supplies and start creating! Safe travels~
