Five years ago, I made a crocodile-dragon out of Super Sculpy clay. At the time, I poured everything I had into that piece, it was my way of saying, “this is me, and this is what I can do.”

Looking back, I believe that sculpture played a huge role in helping me land my very first job as a sculptor and designer. Because of that, it holds a very special place in my heart.

Now, five years later, I want to try again. I want to take everything I’ve learned since then, every new skill, every lesson, every bit of growth, and put it into this new piece. I’m excited to see the difference, to compare the two, and to really see how far I’ve come on this journey.

Shen is finally printed, and I had so much fun painting her today! ^_^ She’s not quite finished. I still need to add her pattern, but I’m honestly thrilled. She might be my best sculpture yet! 💛

Shen WIP update

I'm thrilled with how this is coming together. Taking my time with this sculpture has been the best decision, every day I come back to it with fresh eyes, and I catch details I hadn’t noticed before. Sometimes, a small idea completely shifts things for the better, like lengthening her back leg outward, which gave her a much stronger profile.

There’s still work to do. I need to sculpt her hands and shape her body so she really looks like she’s wrapped in skin. I think I’ve been putting off the base a little, I still don’t quite know how I want to design the tree stump and log 😥

This project has been a long time coming, and it means a lot to me on a personal level. I'm really grateful I get to share this journey with such a supportive and inspiring art community. Thanks for being here. 💛

Hey guys! I wanted to share my progress on my current Shen sculpture! 🐉

This time I’m really taking my time, I want her to be perfect before I print her on my new resin printer (the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 💜).

I’m building a whole little scene for her too: a mossy log with plants, mushrooms, and some tiny rain forest critters. (this is probably my most ambitious sculpture yet)

I don’t know what I was thinking starting this like this… but honestly? It’s kinda therapeutic.

Like embroidery, but in 3D just me, an audiobook, and a hot chocolate while I poke away at tiny details. It’s slow, satisfying, and weirdly meditative.

Not sure where this is going yet, but I’m enjoying the process… so I’m going to keep going and see what happens. ✨

This is a W.I.P of Shen my OC. I'm redesigning her while sculpting in my new art media 3D sculpting. This version is something really special to me, she’s still Shen, but shaped from everything I’ve learned so far. 🐉💚More to come soon as I continue to build her into a full mini-scene for resin printing and hand painting!

Rexy and Cera's resin print came out beautifully 👏🏼🦖🦕💙💛

This was only going to be a test print but I like it so much I'm going to do my best to paint this tiny miniature.

🦖🧡 I’ve been thinking it could be really fun (and motivating) to have a 3D print of Cera and Rexy on my desk! Not only would it look cool 😎, but it’d be a great little project to paint too. Just having them nearby might help keep me inspired when I’m working on their animation.

This is the current pose I’ve got for them, still a work in progress, but I’m loving the energy between them 🦕✨ Thinking of making a simple rocky base for the print, maybe with some mossy textures or dino footprints?

Lately I’ve been pushing my character design skills by stepping out of my comfort zone. I've been experimenting with over exaggerated proportions to explore a more stylised look. (something I'm not used to to doing)

Meet The Bearded Wizard! 🧙‍♂️ He’s still in the early stages of development, but I’m really enjoying how he’s coming together so far.

The plan is to retopologise him in Blender and rig him for animation... eventually 😅 I haven’t decided yet whether I want him for a game or a short animation, but I might try to optimise him for both!

This morning I was feeling pretty nerdy, so I made a custom Firefox banner theme! 🦖💻 I painted a little night scene of Rexy and Cera and turned it into a browser theme using Firefox Color. ✨ I've submitted it as an official theme, and its now available for download as a Firefox Add-on here .

WIP sneak peek of the Scuttle Chest Mimic! 🦀💎 She's almost finished printing and honestly, I'm in love. Look at those claws! Look at that snoot!! This little mimic is my newest functional sculpture, she can hold a whole deck of MTG cards and a set of dice like the treasure hoarder she is. 💼🎲 The lid is printing today (fingers crossed!), and then I’m planning a full photoshoot once she’s all assembled. Might even include a printable adoption certificate and care guide 😏 Stay tuned for the final reveal! ✨

Round 2 of learning how to animate a walk cycle... and wow, it’s hard😅 I struggled a bit with the timing this time around, but I did manage to figure out how to make it loop properly, which feels like a win! 🎉 Overall, I think this version looks way more polished than my first try. Let me know what you think, I’m always open to tips and feedback! 🦖💛

Here’s a little sneak peek into my process for this painting of Rexy and Cera 💙💛 To start, I set up a super basic scene in Blender with simple shapes to block out the forest. Then I posed Rexy and Cera, framed the shot, and brought it all into Procreate to paint over the 3D render and give it that soft, painterly vibe. ✨ This piece was such a joy to work on, even though I chipped away at it between other projects, I loved watching it slowly come to life. I'm so pumped to make more like this and explore storytelling through these two characters. Would you like to see more of this style? 🦖🌿🦕

This is something I’ve been putting off for way too long, but I’m finally bringing this old corgi statue back to life 🐶💛He was gifted to me a while ago, and ever since, I’ve wanted to remodel him and give him a new life.

A few days ago I added more volume to his fluffy cheeks, and today I started sculpting around his eyes using apoxy putty. I’ve never sculpted a life-sized dog before, so I’m super curious (and a little nervous) to see how he turns out in the end! Thinking of calling him Cheder 🧀🐾
