“Good bye”

I painted this one from the most memorable story of Doraemon, Nobita’s Dinosaur (1980). I watched this film when I was young and I felt like I wanted to have my own Piisuke (Nobita named his dinosaur). Then it would be very sad to say goodbye if I had to return him to where he belonged or if something happened to him. However, that is something we always have to deal with when we love someone or something. Reminding myself to do “what best” to my love ones and if that day comes, I could be smiling through tears.

This piece will be shown in the Doraemon: Fugiko Fujio Tribute Art Show at Q2 mini gallery tomorrow (7/25). Opening reception at 7-10pm. More info here.

My Fugitoid animation is officially released on Nickelodeon’s youtube channel. It was fun figuring out the acting for this character. The voiced (David Tennant) was fantastic so I tried to make this animation appealing and that because it was the first time people would see him in action at San Diego Comic-Con. After spending days and hours, I’m pretty happy with this piece. I hope you enjoy it too. Oh, and I love Fugitoid now!

Fugitoid and will appear in Season 4 of Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Fall 2015).
