This is one of my favorite tracks on the album perverts. i adore the way it starts out with a drone like noise and fades into what sounds like one of her church recordings and then goes into ethels almost “classical” piano and ethereal vocals. i think a reason i like this track so much is because of the vocals. she has said that she was sick when she recorded amber waves and i think that really adds to the ambience of this song. the lyrics, the pacing, the frozen almost anxiety evoking feeling EVERYTHING. its an absolute masterpiece and plays such a good role as the ending track. thank you ethel
