Strawberry Star wasn't all to concerned when he was younger, he was pretty oblivious to most things. He never even knew what any LGBTQ+ stuff was until he got older. One day he spotted a trans flag hung up by Sugar Cube Corner and asked Pinkie Pie what that flag was. She explains that it was the transgender flag, and then she pointed at the rainbow flag on the other side and said "and that's the pride flag!" Strawberry Star didn't seem to understand as he asked what transgender meant and what a pride flag is. Pinkie then goes on a VERY LONG tangent about identies, sexualities, and how ponies had flags to show it off.

After that Strawberry Star was confused since his family never talked about anything like that before. More specifically, one day during pride Month in pony ville, his father started going on a drunken rant about how "Ponies aren't supposed to be this way! It's only one colt and one mare! That's what Celestia believes and know we should be like! How else are we supposed to keep reproducting?!" His father was very against stuff like that, so after he learned more about it, he always kept it to himself. Especially after he finally learned who he was, and he knew his father wouldn't be happy about it.

This might be a kind of silly thing to post about but a niche of self-shipping that I don’t see often but love is shipping with the “host” of kids shows. You’re taking these characters meant to be like family and friends to the young viewers, and making them feel the same amount of love that they show the world around them.
