A Review of Young And Menace by Fall Out Boy, from a nobody a tumblr who's voice will be lost in the masses

So, Hi! It's been awhile since I've posted. So let's review Young And Menace by Fall Out Boy! First, let's get into the song. The song starts out with a mellow sung verse with some soft instrumentals. The prechorus kicks up the song a little by adding in more drums and some more instruments. The climax of the song happens at the "chorus" where the drums guitar and bass go full force for an EDM-esque breakdown with pitch-shifted vocals. The song repeats its mellow vocals after the chorus and the chorus happens again. There's a small bridge, the chorus is sung again, and then the first line of the song is sung at the very end of the song. Now that we've covered how the song ACTUALLY sounds. Let's get into my opinion of it. Please remember that this is indeed my OPINION and you are allowed to disagree with my opinion however much you want to! With that being said, here we go. When I first listened to this song, I had no idea what I was in for. I thought to myself, "this doesn't sound like old Fall Out Boy at all!" But then I remembered, that's the point. This isn't the old Fall Out Boy everyone in their emo phase listens to. This is 2017 Fall Out Boy. I love this song. I loved it from the very first moment I listened to it. I listen to it everyday on repeat. The guitar, bass, and drums are all so cool to listen to on this track. I'm not a fan of pitch-shifting vocals, but this song does it really well for a nice sounding breakdown. Even though it doesn't let Patrick shine to his fullest potential vocal-wise, he still sounds as great as ever. This track is definitely polarising, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the album in September. If you have any differing views I'd love to see your side of this track!
