I have yet to fully embark on his writing, I got about 200 or so pages in the Way of Kings and haven’t picked it up since (not because I wasn’t enjoying it but I don’t think the timing was right for me yet) but I have now decided to read his books in order starting with Mistborn. When I’ll get to it I’m not sure.

Anyways the whole point of reposting this and me saying that, was because while I haven’t gotten to any major scenes in the books, I do absolutely LOVE his writing and I think the way he writes each character pov is so beautifully strung together

that 11th hour thing that Brandon Sanderson does where suddenly there's 10 perspectives in one chapter so you see all sides of the conflict, what that secondary character is doing, how the big battle looks from the outside, a heartbreaking thought from a character who's never had their perspective shown, a moment with the villain, and so you can feel the change from "everything is falling down we're all going to die" to slow creeping hope as finally the protagonists start winning>>>>>>

bingewatching will never come close to bingereading. there is nothing like blocking out the entire Earth for ten hours to read a book in one sitting no food no water no shower no bra and emerging at the end with no idea what time it is or where you are, a dried-up prune that's sensitive to light and loud noises because you've been in your room in the dark reading by the glow of a single LED. it's like coming back after a three-month vacation in another dimension and now you have to go downstairs and make dinner. absolutely transcendental
