Why I am using Tumblr

Out of every medium I chose Tumblr to start this journey. And the reason is simple. I was on here when I was a young trans man and used this place to find information and like minded people. My goal is to be that for someone else. And perhaps branch out to other mediums in the future, for now, I am here.

Good evening and welcome to my blog. I'm sure this place is going to end up an interesting place but...right now its brand new.

I am going to preface this first because I have faith that my community has people that will at least take a moment to debate civilly with me rather than to go straight for the jugular. I am a civil person, even if I disagree with you - with few major exceptions.

This blog is going to be a place for discussion. Not for hate. Everyone's opinions are formed based off their life experience or lack thereof. I welcome them all and am open to changing my own mind, or find a middle ground.

My name is Ash, I am 26, and have a dog named Bennington.

I am a FtM transsexual (yes, I am using this as my identifier, more on that later) I started transitioning socially over 10 years ago and medically 8 years ago.

I am gay,

I am a drag queen and I run my citys drag group.

I have spent the last 8 years learning and growing and changing in the community as a trans person and as a human.

Theres not enough voices that are level headed and slow to anger, so I want to be that voice. I hope that if it impacts someone positively - or even gives another perspective on things, then I am doing what I came here for.

These next few posts are going to be my goals and mission for this blog and I hope you can join me on this journey.
