They've been on my mind a lot lately, and I originally pulled this piece up just to throw a new watermark on it and prep it for my 2025 portfolio, but I got pulled into it.

The anniversary of her death is coming up, and I think that she would be proud of the progress I've been making this year with my mental health and everything I've been working on.

I knew Misty for around 12 years, and we never met in person, but during that time she was a massive influence on me and like many others, she inspired me to be as true to myself as possible.

I have at least two more pieces featuring her that have been in progress for ages, and I'm hoping to get them finished finally this year.

These sketch requests can be anything you want with the only limits being that it’s $10 per subject/figure and $10 for backgrounds- and that I will only spend around half an hour on each one. The resulting work will be done in procreate in my pencil sketching style.

After way too long I have finally made progress on this project, competing the first of 24 cards that I started the sketches of last September. These images are part of an upcoming Loki-Themed Rune deck being published by The Three Little Sisters, which I'm hoping to have done over the next couple months! Re-imagined Major Arcana Tarot card #16 - The Tower Commissioned by @JoshAlthina (Insta) Art by Me (@ashsomethingart This art was done as a way to promote Joshua's 2018 album Limbo The piece was completed on 2/5/22 after around a year of working on it back and forth, revising and doing a bunch of initial drafts to get it RIGHT where we wanted it. Joshua's original inspiration for the commission was the Dragon Age Inquisition character cards, which I did use as a reference to a degree, but I wanted to give my own style to the resulting piece. The concept was to re-imagine the tarot card The Tower, and put the focus on the person- the king- who was losing everything, while showing him stuck in that point between having everything, and losing it all.

Hello and welcome to the Ash Something Art official Tumblr Blog! You may or may not know me, so let me introduce myself! I am Ash. Born in 1989, I've been a professional artist since 2007. About My Art:

My styles range from doodles and cartoons up to fine art realism, and I work in both digital and traditional media depending on the needs of the project. For more info about the What, check out my website and portfolio, or drop me a message if you have any questions.

My personal Art and Goals:

My personal work is predominantly dark-fantasy semirealism and may contain themes such as high fantasy up to cyberpunk and hard sci-fi. I'm not generally restrained by genres or even art styles, though there are general themes that I try to include in my work.

Through my personal art I aim to promote sex-positivity and alternative sexual lifestyles such as BDSM and Fetishes, while helping people to fight gender- and body dysphoria as well as overturn the status-quo of viewing hyper-thin, white women as the standard of beauty, and over-sexualization/fetishization of marginalized peoples. I will admit to not being the best at this yet, but art is a process for me and I work towards these goals with every new artwork I do.

There is a balancing act in doing fetish and sexual art while combating fetishization and over-sexualization, where for me the difference is consent and one's own power of will.

My art is aimed at empowerment and taking control of one's sexuality, for yourself, with themes of enthusiastic consent regardless of the subject matter. Any models I use in my art have consented to be depicted in these ways, and if I do not have a model on hand I just draw from my mind or use reference image sets purchased directly from models who do not have limits regarding what their poses are used for in art.

Aside from this, I also use my art to explore my own fetishes, as well as illustrating scenes from my pagan religion.

Commission and client work:

I take commissions in all of the same fields I mentioned above, as well as: Character concept art, graphic design, book cover illustration, album art illustration, tattoo design, and almost any other artistic needs you may have use of. Generally, I will do most content for people, so long as it doesn't promote anything that I have stated that I am against in the above sections. Aside from those topics, there are a few other types of content I will absolutely refuse to do, and I may also decline work which I feel the client's intention behind does not line up with my own morality- regardless of whether the content is something I would normally otherwise draw.

HOW TO COMMISSION ME:

I am always open for commissions and taking new projects. Art is my full-time job. I take most commissions from all-ages work to 18+/NSFW work, though I do have a few things I will not draw. You can Send Me A Message to ask if your commission falls under my prohibited list directly; Eventually this list will be incorporated into my TOS.

I currently operate on a wait-list setup so turnaround times vary depending on the piece and how many commissions are ahead of you, as well as what things I have to deal with that prevent me from doing art. because of this I only guarantee a turnaround on commissions that have ordered rush delivery.

I price my commissions using Industry-Standard pricing, and value my time and the work I do. My pricing starts at $25 for a portrait sketch. Beyond that, my work is priced per-artwork/per project based on specified parameters (Do you want full body or portrait? Line art or Full Color/Rendered work? Multiple figures? A background drawn? Excessive/intricate detail? Etc)

In your commission request,, tell me what you want in detail, and I will lay out the pricing for you as it pertains to your request, and let you know about any promotions I'm running that are applicable to your project. Each commission/project is different and I do a lot of different types of art that take different amounts of time, so unless your project has the exact same parameters of another persons, the price will never be the same between two projects. For this reason, I use a quote/estimate method instead of laying my prices out for people to choose from a menu, as it guarantees you get the accurate price every time.

For long-term projects and contract projects - things like full comic books/illustrated books, tarot card sets, work-for-hire orders or anything that requires an NDA - include the amount of projects/images/pages/cards/etc you will need as I take bulk/long duration into account for my pricing.

I actively fight against this bullshit technology aimed at literally nothing other than cutting the Human Element out of Art, and feeding decades of our hard work into Mass-Produced-Secondhand-Slop Machines without crediting or compensating us for doing so. THAT SAID-

Work I do:

I work in both DIGITAL and TRADITIONAL media. Digital: I predominantly work in either Clip Studio Paint or Procreate- I do not work with Adobe products after last year, however if you have a particular need (Vector or 3D art, or other) I can pick up most programs fairly quickly. Traditional: I work best in Dry Media - Specifically Charcoal and Graphite. However, depending on what your needs are, I am well versed in all media, and can do pretty much anything you would want from simple pencil sketches to high detail massive oil paintings. Traditional Media Included in This: Pencil, Charcoal, Pastel, Colored Pencil, Ballpoint Pen, Multiliner Pens, Acid Markers, Watercolor Pencil, Inkwash/Painting/Sumi-e, Watercolor Painting, Acrylic Painting, and Oil Painting.

Styles:

This is always a bit of a Thing™ for people, because they expect artists to have A Unique Style™ but I don't subscribe to that mentality at all. I am, first and foremost a MULTIDISCIPLINARY artist, and I have nearly 30 years of practice doing ANY art that struck my fancy. The following are the personal styles that I have developed, but these are by no means exhaustive, and I can create a fresh style for any project or replicate an extant style given enough art references- especially if I'm doing it digitally.

Ash Something Art - 2025 Restructuring and Updates!

Your favorite Art Clown is flipping the whole fucking table to make everything more streamlined this month, so I can stop falling behind on shit and stop putting focus into time-sinks that have no payoff. I'm scrapping Facebook and Instagram I'm closing my Redbubble shop I'm deleting DeviantArt I'm adding a permanent hiatus to my Twitch/Streaming I'm scrapping Reddit I'm removing myself from every platform that does not serve ME as an artist, and instead uses my art and IP as a content cash-cow for their bullshit AI algorithms. These changes will be completed by the end of the month, along with a massive revamp on my website.
