((OOC: Hey I’m still not dead! Time got away from me. But I’m working on asks right now! I never found a better program for doing pixel art, so I haven’t revamped the sprites yet… *grimace* If any of my 8 followers have suggestions for a free (or very cheap…) app that’s good for pixel art, please let me know. Otherwise we’re gonna be stuck with the old funky ones for the time being. Gaster’s in particular are very… off, now.

Anyway, just updating you guys that I’m still coming back! I am working as you read this!))

what would asteri look like with normal eyes?

A: Mimicking someone else is one thing, incorporating a feature into a separate form is another. I don’t usually have eyeballs; I think sockets and eyelights are easier. But I guess I could use to practice changing it up.

G: *ahem*

G: Well, perhaps a visit is in order…

(A high-pitched noise interrupts the scene. The two turn to Alphys, who has been silent.)

Wait, since you've only learned sign in university, how did you talk to people before that? Did you have to write everything down? That sounds like an awful experience.

OOOH Grillby taught you sign?? That means he also has to be weird old man!! wonderful to know. How did you two even meet?

A: …

G: That was how we first met. Truthfully though, I would not say we truly became friends then. He was distracted, and was only able to teach me the basics before he left.

G: I did not see him again for almost a year.

So how old is everyone? If it's alright to ask. I know some monsters live longer than others depending on species and such

Al: B-But, um, you fought in the war, right? So… So more than 400?

G: …

Okay Gaster, now I'm curious who was the monster you had feelings for? 👀 Must've been a really beloved friend.

Behind him, Alphys leans over to Asteri.

Asteri startles and reflexively becomes the color and texture of the sofa, effectively “disappearing.” Alphys looks like she wishes she could too.

<It’s been a little while now…The webcam switches back on to reveal Gaster standing nearest to it, and Alphys and Asteri sitting on the couch behind him. Asteri looks much better than when we last saw her.>

She and Alphys wave, though Alphys has to lean to be seen around where Gaster stands in the foreground.

After fiddling around for a moment, Gaster leans closer to the nearby laptop.

Have any of you ever had...close encounters with humans? I mean, besides Gaster, of course. Unless he has any funny stories about humans?

There is a heavy silence in the room. Alphys hesitantly holds her arms open, and Asteri leans into her. While they hug, Gaster stands and approaches the webcam until only his upper body is visible.

G: Excuse us for a few minutes.

I hope you continue this blog! I've really enjoyed seeing these guys answer questions, they're so delightful. The way you write gaster is so so so fun

((OOC: Awwww thank you so much! That means a lot to me!!! :’0 🥺😊 I am going to continue the blog, don’t worry! Life has just been a bit crazy. I was out of town for two weeks and then being back home has mostly been me recovering. I tend to get carried away with answering asks, and since I can’t seem to just be normal about it, I modify the sprites for pretty much every question. I have like 150 sprites for Gaster alone, it’s insane. So. I’ve kind of overwhelmed myself by setting a a standard of having special sprites for Every Emotion Possible (which is absurd). But! I do have responses planned for the questions I do have! I’ve been putting more focus into working on my fic, but I do plan to update here soon!

Speaking of my fic, though… If you like these guys and don’t already follow my main Undertale blog, @findmeabowlofundertale, then you can find a lot more about them on there! Doodles and stuff, but also the fic I’m writing! It’s nothing spectacular, but I like it. It’s tagged “⁂ fic” on there, and all the drawings are under “seeker draws”.

Has Gaster ever had a romantic partner or been on a date???

There is a heavy pause. After a moment, he shakes his head a little and continues.

At this, Gaster shifts his weight in his seat and rubs the back of his skull.

A: There’s nothing wrong with that, you know, guys!

A: Romance is not the be-all, end-all.

Asteri folds her wings across herself and frowns sternly, the topic obviously one she feels strongly about.

A: Friendship is just as powerful.

Gaster looks off to the side and smiles warmly.

G: Yes. This is true.

Al: …J-Just like they teach you in anime…

Would you smooch a ghost?

Asteri and Gaster glance at each other, then both look to Alphys simultaneously.

Al: F-Fine! Um…

A: You’re adorable, Alphys.

G: I suppose it would only be fair that I answer as well, then, since this is hypothetical…

G: Hypotheticals aside, I could not “smooch” anyone since I lack lips.

A: R-Right, you told me that before! It could be any kind of affection!

G: Yes! Yes, precisely…

Alphys watches her friends avoid making eye contact with each other, and leans in toward the webcam to whisper while they’re distracted.

After a few minutes in the kitchen, Gaster walks back into view looking much calmer.

G: Ah, yes, allow me to explain.

G: A tachyon is a hypothetical particle that travels faster than light—

Gaster goes on to explain the theory of relativity…

This one is aimed mostly at gaster but the others can answer as well!

Do you like jokes? And if so do you remember the funniest joke you've ever been told?

A: Alright, yeah, good! Some lighthearted questions!

A: Let’s see…

Al: Well, uh…

G: That is not even possible—

Al: Shh!

Gaster has walked away from the webcam, arms up and hands on his head, and is now out of view. There’s sounds of conflicted grumbling from off-camera. Alphys has dissolved into giggles and snorts at the whole thing.

A: Hope that was a decent joke, Anon!

A: I’ve got a whole bunch.

Asteri snickers.

A: Maybe Gaster will come up with something “better” after he chills out.

What font does Gaster have?

Gaster blinks a few times and seems to come back to himself.

Asteri and Alphys give him a concerned once-over and exchange a look, but nod. Gaster turns to address the webcam.

He straightens, and his posture gives what he says next a sense of finality.
