Breaker continued to stay in his crouched position. It was indifferent to Shinji’s sudden intrusion but the nearby Unit 01 puts the mech on guard

“…..”

“….!?” Otto’s ears rings as he hears the unknown transmission, “I gotta have this number changed. Who is this? How did you get this frequency?” He asks out loud only to duck when Jeanne kicks a guard at him.

“What are you doing spacing out for?” Jeanne says blocking some bullets with her gun, “Keep your head in the game, man!”

“Someone’s calling me.” Otto says putting a hand to his ear, “I gotta go back to Breaker. What if he’s under attack?”

“I think your robot can handle himself.” Jeanne replies cutting down a nearby guard, “We still need to find whoever sent us here. You can’t just leave now!”

The guards had strict orders, capture Otto alive and bring him to Commander Ikari, everyone else including each other were expendable. Their weaponry wasn’t too far removed from what NERV security men used before third impact However Gendo wasn’t only going to rely on the security men. Deep inside the base MP Evas were activating to help fight Team Otto. 

“Ah, My name is Shinji Ikari, I’m Evangelion Pilot, with WILLE, Our ship... was planning to attack this base but your Unit appeared out here first and... I mean it’s certainly not an Eva, so who on earth are you people I can tell you’re not with my father? So what do you want?” Shinji wasn’t sure if Tiebreaker was a threat, with his luck the giant mech probably was, but part of him hoped these people weren’t their enemies.

And it’s the truth, too - while Rei might occasionally run errands for and do the bidding of the pilots’ superiors, she’s here of her own volition today.

“Are you going to the pool? That is where I was going. Perhaps we could walk together.”

She pauses, then. Rei remembers her first meeting with Asuka - and how it didn’t go so well, primarily because of how Rei herself was acting.

“ … I want to get to know you better, and not because I was ordered to.”

Asuka watches Rei carefully. She was about to say something about the pool being big enough for them both when the other girl finished her thought and the redhead wasn’t sure exactly how to respond for a moment. Since when did Rei have any interest in getting to know her? Asuka wondered for a moment if she was walking into a trap. 

“Why are you all interested in getting to know me now? We’ve both been pilots for awhile now, why the sudden change of heart?” Asuka replied suspiciously, but waited for Rei to start for the pool first.

“What an absolutely dreadful place.” Jeanne sighs taking in her surroundings

“There’s a dead feeling in the air and everything reeks of blood.” Due muses scanning the environment as well, “Something happened here.”

“Why in the world did Breaker take us to this dimension?” Otto wonders as he watches his brother check the super robot’s systems, 

“From the looks of it…there was outside interference.” Jiro explains turning off his computer, “Someone must have pulled us into this place instead of our usual…but why?”

“Think it could have been Ouroboros?” Kara asks watching the nearby base through binoculars, “It’s not a coincidence that we ended up here of all places.”

“Can’t say for certain.” Jeanne answers, “Only one way to find out. Hilda would you kindly?”

“With pleasure, lass~” Hilda says with a cheery smile. She clears out her throat…and with a mighty banshee scream. The fiery woman charges head first into enemy fire.

“We’ll make sure not to rough them up too bad.” Kara smirks walking out to join the older sister, “Johnny, Due and I we’ll help keep the guards distracted. That leaves the info gathering to you and Otto.”

“Roger that. Let’s go Otto.” The detective calls out.

“Right!” The automaton yells following closely behind.

The sudden arrival of the unknown Mech, was quickly reported aboard the Wundar. With no guesses as to the origin or design of something which wasn’t any NERV mech they were aware of Misato ordered that someone should go and investigate the area. Shinji figured he should volunteer for this one. Within minutes an Eva was launched which held in it’s hand a ‘box’ for carrying personnel on and off the airship. 

The Eva Unit 1-V2, resembled Unit 1 in it’s design except for several minor changes in the armor’s color and thickness, Shinji set down the ‘box’.which opened to reveal truck in it’s middle driven by WILLE medic Sakura Suzuhara and containing several security men. 

“Wow... Sakura can you hear me? This thing doesn’t look anything like an Eva, I mean it doesn’t look like anything i’ve ever seen anywhere. I’m gonna try see if anyone’s inside, does it look like anyone’s out there?” Shinji asks over the intercom as he stares dumbfounded at Tiebreaker. 

“It looks like someone besides us attacking at the base, remember our orders you need to keep and eye on that thing and look after us down here if you’re in an Eva you need to keep to them.” Sakura replied with a word of caution.  

“Ah I am Pilot Ikari from the AAA Wunder, to the pilot of the... the unknown unit are you... I mean who on earth are you!?” Shinji shouts over the Eva’s speakers.
