Sentinel: They were long gone before the cult found me. -- besides, I don't think I was ever that important to them. what do you think it would happen

It does depend on how they got it,

Idol, if he woke up to find an egg in his hair or something similar to imply that it was his, would probably be very anxious but he'd do his best to care for it and lean on Creek for support. he wouldn't try to get rid of it. if he found it, and nobody in the village knew where it came from, and he couldn't dump it off at the daycare, he'd be significantly more stressed but do his best to tend to it and lean heavily on Creek for support.

Sentinel, either way, is going to freak out. if it seems like it's somehow his he'll be frantically baby-proofing everything, trying very hard to quit his hardcandy addiction cold turkey and failing and having a mental breakdown about it, being irrationally terrified to tell anyone about anything, and generally being an absolute mess. if he found it, he'd probably immediately take it to Queen Viva or Poppy and, upon realizing he couldn't pass it on to them panic and beg for help and reluctantly allow himself to be kept above ground so they could take care of him and help him tend to the egg.

Sentinel: I was never allowed near Poppy when we were little, no one wanted me to make her upset, but after the escape I guess she convinced them to let her cheer me up.
