As soon as the video was saved on her tablet, Emma sprung to her feet and asked if they could play in the park for a little longer. From the corner of his eye, Daniel noted the time that flashed on his taskbar. It was about time to go home and Emma had school tomorrow; however, spending five more minutes out and about wouldn’t do anyone any harm. Right? It was just five minutes, and Emma was already running towards the swings when Daniel gave an assuring nod.

Could’ve been when I realized I was going to be replaces. That seems the moment something had changed, like I’d shattered some wall. And what was going through my head was.. How hurt and angry I felt.. I’m not sure I was even thinking when I did what I did, there was this influx of thoughts and feelings and it left me.. Disoriented...
