I think this is the first time I've drawn one of the HLVRAIHS crew with color. Behold my magnum opus . /j (yes Bubby is ginger. I saw someone on here draw him ginger one (1) time and ever since then it's been one of my favorite HLVRAI headcanons Ever. And of course I had to somehow incorporate that into this au)

Also a low effort shitpost I doodled in class based off of that one meme. Enjoy

Ahhh, you've stumbled upon one of the details of this AU I had to consider for awhile, good on you anon

What I decided was that they aren't biologically related, they just look Really similar. And Gwendolen is the dad friend of the group by default, but she's a little extra protective of Tommy because as smart as he is, he can be pretty naïve at times. (In short, they're the "favorite" /hj) So now it's a running bit for the team to try and convince people that the two are actually related in some way. Which isn't hard to believe, so it works. On mostly everyone .

To answer your question, I haven't given much thought to the actual parents of the science team anyway. They do vaguely exist but I don't think I'm going to develop them as characters or anything.

And the self-proclaimed class clown is Bubby for sure. He's still. Getting a hang of what other people think is funny. The only people who think xe's funny most of the time and laugh with her when she does dumb shit in school are the Science Team (and even then they sometimes just laugh because they feel kinda bad that every joke it makes is followed by Dead Silence). The ACTUAL class clown is Harold, not intentionally but he does lean into it. He just responds to things in a way that most people Do Not Expect djfjsd

Here's a little chart showcasing who's the most and least safe to trust with Crush Intel. In case you're confused about the order it's Tommy, Gwendolen, Darnold, Gordon, Benrey, Forzen, Harold and Bubby from most to least safe

My reasoning for Tommy literally being off the charts in terms of how trustworthy they are is just... They don't care about Crush Stuff, the information means nothing to him and he will discard it instantly, which means your secret is perfectly safe with him. Gwendolen and Darnold loooove listening to people talk about Crush Problems and playing therapist every now and then and wouldn't tell a soul if their life depended on it. Doctor patient confidentiality and all that. Gordon is kinda like Tommy in that he's pretty indifferent towards that stuff and doesn't wanna get caught up in some dumb shit so doesn't tell anyone. Benrey would definitely be in between Harold and Bubby and would end up telling people's secrets way more often if she weren't forgetful as shit. Forzen doesn't see crush stuff as a big deal and forgets it means A Lot to other people and just talks about it without realizing. He's a bit dumb your honor. Forgive him Harold is only where he is because he has a tendency to Accidentally Overshare to people he doesn't know and then realize what he said 5 seconds later. (He tries to cover up by saying random bullshit, and usually this catches people off guard enough to deter them, but his friends know this is just a tactic.) And of course Bubby likes gossip a little too much. I haven't put it on the total opposite end because he won't spill if xe likes and respects the person but then again their personal motto is Fuck Around And Find Out so if someone pisses her off enough ze might just start spreading misinformation around the school for shits n' gigs/hj

this is a personal thing (i am the person) but who is the one everyone has to buy a plain cheese pizza for because they can't eat food touching other food for tism reasons

Bubby is probably so fucking picky when it comes to shit like that. So yeah her. He complains about the pizza sooo much not expecting anything to come of it but everyone decides to chip in to buy xem a plain one. They're touched by it but won't admit it in 100 million years

Gordon would probably like McCafferty. He isn't nearly as sad in this au as his HLVRAI canon counterpart is but there's something nice about how cathartic McCafferty is. He's also 100% obsessed with Tom Cardy because he appreciates the art of Making Entire Songs Complaining About Mild Inconveniences

Benrey definitely likes the Oozes and also Dazey and the Scouts. Bastard music supremacy, good for ruining karaoke nights and getting everyone sent home at 2am /hj. Listens to that shit so loud you can hear it through her headphones. If you comment on it they grin at you and play it louder

I don't think Tommy listens to music much, to him it's one of those things where you don't touch it for ages and then Very Briefly But Strongly Hyperfixate over. That being said they probably listen to The Scary Jokes and Hozier for comfort purposes when they're overwhelmed every now and then

Bubby... fucking loves Queen. You'll rarely, if ever, find it listening to anything else. you're ever wondering why ze's still up at 3am it's because ze was listening to Queen and dancing around his room with the air of a true performer. Fat-Bottomed Girls is a particular favorite of hers <3

Harold, like Tommy, probably doesn't really listen to music as much as the rest. He probably likes listening to old music in other languages than English because he likes the feel of different sounds and syllables. He also likes when the team sends him really low quality songs that sound like they went through a paper shredder

Gwendolen probably almost exclusively listens to piano music/piano covers of music on YouTube. Circus Contraption, Tom Lehrer and Tally Hall are the only artists she listens to normally without vigorously scouring the web for piano covers of their music (because they are just so good on their own). Her and Harold have a playlist of piano covers and old music with like 200 songs - Bubby got ahold of one of their phones at some point and changed the playlist name to "Nerd music" and they haven't changed it back

The Weezer enjoyer trembles in the corner, sweating profusely, on the verge of tears. Forzen does not want to be votekicked.

(Just kidding, Forzen probably listens to fuckin Green Day and shit like that just because he thinks it's cool. He discovers Will Wood one day through the team and goes a little bit insane? Belts I/Me/Myself in the shower and everything. He's very normal you see)
