Note
Hey Abigail what are the best things about your siblings? ^^
Abigail: Well, Liam is super duper good at makeup and hair styling and stuff. He really likes to practice on me and Rachel because he says our hair is super strong and durable. He’s also a really good listener! He falls for everything though, and it’s funny to prank him. Rachel is scary when she’s mad, but she’s mad a lot of the time, so she’s not really that scary. She likes to draw. She even drew and painted the sunset picture I have hanging on my wall! And she lets me talk to her about cool things, like fun facts about animals and stuff like that. She pushes me on the swing when we’re outside.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alex stood at the stove, stirring a pot of pasta. Angelica stood next to him, slowly mixing the tomato sauce, while Alex supervised. Philip was busy setting the dining room table, laying out napkins and silverware. The table was laden with salad, bread, soda, and Parmesan, and a small pile of presents sat in the center of the table. It was John’s birthday, so Alex figured he’d throw a small birthday party with just the four of them to surprise him.
“Do you think he’ll like it?” Angelica worried. “What if he doesn’t like spaghetti?”
“Who doesn’t like spaghetti?” Philip mumbled. Alex hid his smirk.
“Your father has told us at least a dozen times that he likes most pasta, Angel.” Alex said. “He mentions it every time we go to Olive Garden.”
“We don’t go to Olive Garden that often,” Angelica replied quietly.
“That’s because their garlic bread sucks,” Philip called dryly from the dining room.
“No it doesn’t, you’re just picky,” Alex rolled his eyes.
“Garlic bread is overrated anyway,” Angelica added.
As Philip reentered the kitchen he sucked in a dramatic gasp, but before he could say anything Alex pushed four plates at him. He made another melodramatic exclamation, but disappeared back into the dining room to lay them out.
All three of them froze at the sound of the front door opening. Angelica rushed into the foyer to greet her father, but stopped dead at the sight of him in the doorway.
John was soaked, his clothes and hair dripping with rainwater. He looked agitated, like he’d just gotten caught in the rain on his way home. Angelica bit her lip in an attempt to keep herself from laughing, but then Alex and Philip poked their heads into the foyer and immediately burst into laughter. John’s expression soured more.
“It’s not funny,” John grumbled.
“It’s kinda funny,” Angelica giggled, opening the linen closet that was next to the front door and pulling down two towels. John took them gratefully, casting a tired but amused glare at Alex and Philip, who still stood in the doorway of the kitchen laughing.
Once dry, Angelica took the towels from her father and tossed them down to the washing room. At the silent request of Alex, she and Philip vanished back into the kitchen to prepare the spaghetti.
“Happy birthday, my Laurens,” Alex chirped suavely, pressing a chaste kiss to John’s lips. John smiled, tucking his head into Alex’s shoulder, relaxing into his touch.
“Long day?” Alex wrapped his arms around the taller man, tugging his fingers through his wet hair.
“You have no idea,” John breathed.
“Well, come with me into the dining room and you can vent to us,” Alex said, taking John’s hand and leading John through the house. He opened the double doors to the dining room, and John gasped in surprise at the feast presented to him.
“Happy birthday!” Angelica and Philip shouted. Both of them pulled tiny poppers that Alex had given them beforehand.
“Awh, guys,” John grinned widely at the spaghetti, salad, and bread on the table, and the small circle of wrapped gifts in the center. “Thank you so much!”
Alex lead John to his seat as Angelica served him some pasta and salad. Once they were all seated and had food in front of them, they eagerly tucked in to the feast.
“How is it?” Philip asked curiously. “I made the garlic bread.”
“It’s delicious!” John exclaimed truthfully. “You guys are great. I love you all so much.”
“We love you too,” Philip said, and Angelica and Alex nodded in agreement. “Happy birthday, papa. Now, let me tell you what George freaking Eacker said today in English class..”
charles! aaron! embarrass your son!
A devilish smirk crosses Charles’s face, and Aaron grins at Max. Max groans, putting his head in his hands, cursing anon.
“When he was a baby, we’d occasionally find little bugs around the house when we first moved in. Nothing too serious, just a couple of crickets or tiny beetles in the nooks and crannies.” Aaron begins. “One day - I think Max was maybe two? - he found a tiny beetle and stuck it right in his mouth. Nearly gave Charles a heart attack.”
“When Max was in fifth grade, he told his teacher that we grew weed at our house,” Charles puts his hand in Max’s hair affectionately, but Max bats his hand away, his expression sour. “He meant it as in weeds grew in the ground because he’d heard Aaron complain about weeds in his garden. The cop visit wasn’t very fun at the time, but looking back on it now makes me smile.”
Max lays across the countertop and places his head in his arms, grumbling as he turned away from his snickering parents. His cheeks flushed red, but the grin he fought back wasn’t exactly well hid.
Could you do an angsty sad piece with Hamilton and Eliza have to tell their children of Phillip’s death, please? Thank you!
Sheesh, we’re jumping right into the angst, huh? Unfortunately Philip’s only sibling in this universe is his twin Angelica, and his parents are John and Alexander.
So I’m going to post a couple of text posts that introduce the characters on this blog, but until I get those up you can check out the links on the blog labeled The Characters (part 1 and part 2) to learn more about them!
Lee-Burr Family Headcanons
The three of them enjoy watching movies together. They all really like action movies and historical flicks.
Even as a younger child, Max was always kind of quiet and awkward. It was easy to tell he felt out of place among the other students around him, and throughout elementary school Charles felt as though he saw himself in Max. It wasn’t until middle school when he made friends with Charlie and then the other three that Charles and Aaron stopped worrying about their son and his happiness.
Charles knits. Half of Max’s winter stuff (gloves and scarves) were made by Charles. Every Christmas, Aaron and Max get a new sweater from him. Both Max and Aaron love it when Charles knits clothing for them. They’re both forbidden from telling anyone, however.
They have three dogs. They would have had more but Aaron drew the line at three. They have a tiny Beagle puppy named Roxie, a rambunctious Pomeranian named Spada, and a terrifying and angry Maltese named Kuma.
Before Charles worked at his office, he was a veteran. He served two terms in Afghanistan before marrying Aaron and adopting Max. Even though it’s been a little under twenty years since he returned, he occasionally still has really terrifying nightmares about serving there. The terror of people he loved leaving him got worse after Max was adopted.
They go to every Pride event, as a family. Of course they didn’t do it when Max was younger than four, but once he turned five, the Pride Parade and festival became an annual activity for all of them.
Max isn’t the most touchy in terms of showing affection, but words are hard for him too. Because he knows his parents spent most of his elementary school years worried about him, he tries to show that he’s so much better and that he loves and appreciates them by making them cups of coffee on Saturday morning, leaving encouraging sticky notes on the bathroom mirror before every major work event, and hiding little gifts around for them to find. Aaron and Charles love it.
Before Max became friends with Angela and Phillip, Aaron and Charles were basically rivals with Alexander and John. However, after their children became best friends, their rivalry turned into more of a friendly thing and now both families are very close, despite the fact that John and Charles never pass up an opportunity to argue.
Max and his friends went as a group to their freshman Homecoming party and Charles decided to call Alexander, James, and Hercules to gossip about their children. That’s how Max, Angela, Philip, Liam and Charlie came home to Max’s house to find their parents all in the living room, drinking and laughing and sharing their children’s secrets.
Aaron and Charlie really only get all lovey and affectionate when they think Max isn’t around. Max would never tell them, but he likes it when he sees them kiss and hug each other. It reminds him they truly do love each other.
Max will periodically get sick, usually at the same time every year. Since it’s become a pattern, his parents know when to stock up on Pepto, cough and cold medicine, and NyQuil.
Max doesn’t like to be seen when he’s sick but his parents tend to be overly doting when he’s ill, which creates an issue when he’s throwing up in his bathroom but the door is locked so his parents can’t go in and help him.
There are freaking plants all over the house because Aaron really likes them for some reason. There are plants on the porch, on windowsills, and in the kitchen and bathrooms.
Charles and Aaron used to be a really lovey romantic, always-touching kind of relationship but once they adopted Max and their dogs, they mellowed into a very domestic relationship.
Living with Charles caused Max to develop a soft southern accent. It’s only apparent when he says certain things or when he’s sleepy, sick, or otherwise not completely conscious.
Max’s contact names for his parents is “Dad Wheee” for Charles and “Dad Sir” for Aaron. Neither of them know this.
Laurens-Hamilton Family Headcanons
Philip came out as bisexual to his parents when they were all trying to leave the house and Philip was in the bathroom. Alex yelled, “Philip! Come out!” and Philip, trying to be funny, yelled back, “I’m bi!”
When one twin gets sick, the other follows like less than five hours later. When this happens, the sick twin will stay home and if the other one isn’t feeling too poorly (yet) they’ll go to school for as long as they can and Alex and/or John will always be prepared to have to go get the other twin and take him or her home.
When they were toddlers/young babies, the twins would do really silly things like sneeze or fall down at the same time. They still do it unintentionally sometimes, and it always makes John and Alex crack up.
John’s parents are very homophobic. He came out to them after he left for college and could support himself, and they haven’t spoken since. He hasn’t seen any of his family members since then. Because of this, and because Alex’s parents are dead, George and Martha Washington have been acting in place of grandparents since the birth of the twins.
John struggled with depression and Alex had anxiety issues in college. The nights when Alex would scream into his pillows and pull his hair out from stress and the days when John wouldn’t even get out of bed are memories they share, and they want to do everything they can and more to prevent the twins from feeling the way they did.
Eliza is Philip and Angelica’s godmother, as she is their surrogate.
It doesn’t happen often, but occasionally there are days when something terrible happens in the E.R., like a life couldn’t be saved or someone is diagnosed with a terminal illness. On those days, John will come home a complete mess, and Alex and the twins will work together to pick up the pieces.
Since both twins tend to get sick at the same time, Alexander’s anxiety will double when they fall ill. The death of his mother traumatized him and he gets really scared when they get sick.
John majored in medicine and minored in arts in college while Alex was double majoring in English and Law. John was thrilled when Angelica mentioned she wanted to go into medicine too.
Every Saturday night they do something as a family, usually something fun like bowling or going to see a movie. It’s a way for them to spend time with each other at the end of a long week.
Angelica didn’t exactly come out per se, she overheard her parents talking about a good looking guy on television and said “My taste in men is no.”
When something happens and their friends get hurt, Philip is more on the “I’ll fight you for hurting my friend” side while Angelica is more on the “I’m going to comfort my friend” side.
Philip and Angelica tell each other everything. It’s an unspoken agreement between the two of them that they will always tell each other everything. They’ve also gotten really good at reading each other, so it’s not like they can hide something from the other for long.
Starter Post!
Hello! Mun Ella here! This ask blog will be following the children of
- John Laurens and Alexander Hamilton
- Aaron Burr and Charles Lee
- King George III and Samuel Seabury
- Thomas Jefferson and James Madison
This ask blog is for the children, not the actual canon characters. The characters I’ve created are my own view of the children of the families above and I apologize if you disagree with something.
Most of the asks will be answered by text because I can’t draw digitally very well and I don’t have enough confidence in my pencil drawings to post them either. Until I get better at drawing, text posts will have to do! I’ll also write and post some of my own fiction involving the characters.
Enjoy your stay at the blog!
(Mun’s main is @my-tiny-stars)!
