Little break

Just taking a little break to work on some art. I've been inordinately busy in the free time I have in the day before I do my blog stuff in the evening, so I've been tight on time. Hopefully this only takes a few days for me to be relatively satisfied with my progress on these personal projects.

so, if the titan trappers are still alive do you plan to do anything with them?

The Charmer: No, why would I? I have no reason to return to Titania for the foreseeable millennia.

The Charmer: I wouldn't know, I never eat, and if I must, I prefer sweet fruits to meat.

yeah but those were our own children. we didn't just go around slaughtering the children of other species all willy-nilly. that's impolite. and also, wasteful. what's the point if you're not even going to EAT them?! sigh......

The Charmer: Oh, you didn't see everything then. My followers ate all the Titans they killed. They believed it was important to honor their kills by not wasting a scrap. It did cause odd effects on them though. Their aging slowed quite a lot for instance. Sometimes I wonder if any of the originals still live.

don't be mean to the child killer

The Charmer: You mortals forgetting your lives before you were Collected is causing a very strange dissonance. I assume you forgot your species regularly eats their young? You were from a tidally locked planet where mortals could only survive in the permanent twilight, so your society culturally developed an acceptance towards eating young children when the population grew too large for the thin strip of livable land.

Wrong. Charmer has a kissable face

The Charmer: Aww, why thank you mortals, you know how to cheer me up.

The Copyist: You, uh...you let them flirt with you?

The Cataloger: PFFT, is that allowed?

The Charmer: Um- the laws are in place for us, not them. I don't discourage them, because I don't mind it, uh-! especially because I used my charm to bring them here in the first place. It would be weird and rude to suddenly be cold.

well, compare the species seen in our visions to those found within the archives. the closest thing we know of to humans are witches.

then there would be the giraffes which were also in the same place as the humans . . .

The Copyist: Oh! Huh...yeah that is probably evidence of a link across universes. Similarities between two dominant species and the exact same other creature, both on the same two planets. Maybe one species resembling the other, but for there to be multiple...that is too much overlap for a simple cosmic coincidence.

The Charmer: I wonder how they both happened to develop giraffes...the mortals said before that the giraffes are from Titania but were banished to "Earth", but we have concluded this to be false, since there is no way they could have been sent there.

The Cataloger: Is there absolutely nothing on Titania that could have enabled multi-universal traversability?

The Charmer: Well. The Titans were quite powerful, but we never observed them making portals to another realm. You would have thought they'd do that if they could, especially the last one, who caught onto what was happening.

look I’m just going to say it but why dose charmer have a very punch able face? And don’t get me wrong charmer has a very nice face but for some reason it just looks so punch able but even if I wasn’t in this, prison?!? I still wouldn’t punch it.

The Charmer: That is a wise decision, because you cannot harm me in any way, and would likely break your hand on my face. On second thought. Yes, you should punch my face. It would be funny.

policy this and policy that, who would report you? it isn't as if anyone in your archive would stab you in the back like that.

The Charmer: We don't know how it was discovered. It has made all of us, but especially our eldest sister extremely cautious, especially since our youngest sibling was imprisoned. She doesn't want to risk being taken from us, since she is in charge. She was actually quite blunt with me once, stating that since I am the next eldest I would have been in charge of the twins and our youngest sibling, if she had disobeyed protocol and gotten taken after the imprisonment. She told me that the twins resent me and I would have been too absent for our youngest sibling to be in charge of them all. It's the only reason she didn't break protocol in that situation.

The Copyist: These accusations and this aggression is pointless. Can we discuss something more productive, like how you are all so sure this world from your visions is another universe.

so what you're saying is that you're willing to send your youngest sibling onto a planet full of creatures that can harm you and even after learning that fact you leave them there. Yet you yourself are unwilling to face one tiny baby titan.

The Charmer: Oh stars, THIS again? We did not know when we sent him down there that they were dangerous. When we learned about the danger they posed, we had to weigh removing him from that place but subjecting him to witnessing the deaths of all the creatures he had just befriended, against leaving him there and sparing him a front row seat to the death of all of his "friends" while we worked quickly and unseen. Any Titan that walks their planet after what we have done would be right to hate us just as much as we find their existence and affront. Do you think my siblings would be happy to meet and speak with the one who told the others about what our parent was doing and had xem taken away?

The Charmer: And yes, we did account for the pitiful creature being so incompetent as to die in infancy. We Collected many deceased Titan specimens, and this includes Collecting a large amount of blood, so if our brother does not return by a certain time in the future, we will take the blood there and free them ourselves.

The Charmer: The reason we did not free him immediately is actually quite simple. We are not allowed to leave a job unfinished. Our hands were forced by the policy we must adhere to. If we were to release him, there would be no guarantee, in a contractual sense, of our eventual return, and regular check-ins would be categorized as a waste of time. If you go to a restaurant and forget your wallet and only realize when you have eaten, you leave something behind to show the people there that you will return to pay as would be required. Anything less from us would be considered insufficient proof of our commitment to finishing what we started.

The Charmer: Do you truly believe we have not grieved this enough? Do you really think we would have left them behind for any reason less than being forced to?

Calling it now, Collector is actually Coor’s kid. They look way more like all of you than our Archivists, there must be a connection

The Charmer: You are so wrong it is almost quite comical. I witnessed our parent cast the spell that made him. I saw him being born, essentially. This was typical of our parent, to share the joy of a new life with us.

The Copyist: There is also no way father would have given away any of his children, especially one with such preferred traits. And once xe was imprisoned he absolutely would have taken them back and would not have even entertained the idea of them being raised by your Coordinator.

unless you wait many many years the last titan will be a child when you meet them and therefore is unlikely to be able to kill you. plus the collector was friends with many a titan, who says you couldn't be friends with the last one? plus titans are adorable, why wouldn't you want to meet one?

The Charmer: I don't think this conversation is going to go anywhere because the mortals have shown many times over that they are incapable of comprehending our apprehension of this specific scenario.

The Cataloger: That's pretty obvious.

heck ya, join this archive and you have the chance to possibly meet the last living titan.

The Copyist: I really would rather not. You have to understand what this sounds like when you make these suggestions to us. It sounds like you want to make it possible for us to die. It sounds like you are suggesting we allow ourselves the possibility to be murdered. Stop it.

Hmmm... So Coor had 4 kids, 2 redheads, 2 white hair. And you had one that's why you said 50/50.

Well, your little sunshine seems fine, how would you manage if you were in charge?

The Copyist: I would not want to be a Coordinator, I would like to remain a Copyist, but be able to care for my son openly. But if it was I caring for em...I would let em cut eir hair short. Father wants all of us to follow a more traditionalist lifestyle and have us all grow our hair long and then cut it short for the galactic autumnal equinox, regardless of our preference. I would also like to cut my hair short.

The Cataloger: I am not looking forward to it. I hate having my hair short.

The Charmer: Well, you could always leave his Archive and join ours. He would obviously be...angry. But! There is nothing he can do if you chose to leave, and we could use a bit of help in some areas. Coordinator would be so relieved to have a Copyist in the Archive. I do not believe the Curator or Cartographer would mind having apprentices and assistance, either.

The Copyist: I...will keep that in mind.

Meta ask but how old are all the meteor shower visitors mentally? The ages given kinda confuse me.

Meteor is like in his late 40s-early 50s, the twins and Comet are late 20s-early 30s. Astra is 14 and Nova is 8.

The Cataloger: I can't believe I'm actually an aunt.

The Charmer: This also means you're actually still the youngest sibling.

The Cataloger: Oh NO!!! I DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF THAT.

Omg the custom case came!!!!!! I got them for me and my friends the one with the pop socket is mine but me and my friends are so excited!

OH MY GOD?? THIS IS GREAT! I have an art project I'm working on that would be great for phone screens and stuff, but you did a really good job using my literal oldest art of them. I like that you made them into silhouettes so you can't tell that Penumbra and Crescent are in their old outfits.
