Do you think Snow and Emma will make it back or do you think it’s hopeless?

I don't know. If anything is left of our land, it will have been uninhabited of any civilized life for almost 30 years; there are worse creatures they could face than a decrepit dragon under the town library. But, I wasn't expecting any true power would yield from the mines either. And those three are pesteringly persistent on finding a way back to one another.

The behavior was irregular for him outside of the presence of Miss Swan; all I felt was a mother's worry. I kept my vault a secret from him for a reason. Everyday, I can only try to be the best I can for him; that he still trusts me to soothe his nightmares is as great as I could ever hope for.

It's been... challenging. I was looking forward to being able to dive back into my work, but the people of Storybrooke appear to disagree. The question of who else has 28 years of steadfast attention and experience to adhere to this land's form of government has been unfortunately disregarded.

They've required a tender hand; a bout of rot struck them shortly before magic returned to the town. Perhaps nature was recoiling from Rumplestiltskin's mechanisms. It wouldn't be the first time.
