My sister Soso is STILL very sick! Her fever won’t go down and she won’t stop screaming because of the pain, intense heat and hunger. We’re running out of medicine and the only food we have left is spoiled. Going to the hospital is too dangerous lately so we don’t know what to do. Chickenpox is supposed to be benign, but her body has been weakened by nearly two years of genocide.

Please help her. I know it looks like we’ve already received more than enough, and I’m thankful for every single dollar donated, but no one can imagine the inflation that’s hit us. Everything we receive is spent immediately on rent, food, medicine, a turn on the phone charger, an internet connection. A 25kg sack of flour costs $1,000 and medicines are a rarity. As for clean water, we just haven’t tasted it in 18 months.

Hunger is deadly, and no one can endure hunger, especially if they are a child living in a tent. Every day requires a great effort to collect firewood, fill water, and stand in long queues for hours. My daughter, Batool, whose dream was to become a doctor, now collects firewood and cleans dishes, and she is only eight years old. We haven't eaten bread for more than a week because we don't have any money to buy flour, and the aid that does come in is not distributed through international organizations. Instead, it is attacked, and there is danger and death just to get a bag of flour.

I’m a mother of four beautiful children: Batoul, Aseel, Bahaa, and Leen. They once dreamed of toys, school, and laughter. Now… they cry themselves to sleep, hungry and terrified. The war in Gaza has taken everything from us.

Our home was bombed and reduced to rubble. My husband, Ahmad, has been missing for weeks — we don’t know if he’s alive or gone forever. I suffer from a chronic illness and cannot afford my treatment. We have no shelter, no income, and my children haven’t had a full meal in days.

UN has warned that 14,000 babies in Gaza can die in 48 hours if aid does not arrive in time. Shaimaa (@shaimaahadaid) is terrified for her children. Shaimaa has a son Adam, and twin daughters Ilana and Ivona whom she gave birth to right before this genocidal war.

Ilana suffers from serious health issues since birth. Shaimaa has already lost Ivona to this genocide. Losing one child is already a devastating ordeal, and Shaimaa does not want to lose any of her other children.

However, Ilana has trouble breathing and has even fallen so seriously ill that she had to spend an entire month in hospital. However, medical treatment is very very expensive in Gaza right now. With no food, no treatment, and no home, Ilana's health is very fragile and she is struggling to survive.

This is why your donation is so important. Your contribution, no matter how small, will help provide little Ilana with food and the medical treatment she so desperately needs. There are 8 days left until the goal closes. Unfortunately, I did not receive the requested amount. We continue to publish hour after hour, but to no avail. We have $3,200 left, and unfortunately, the Isnad Initiative students will not be able to obtain study seats. Gaza students need this amount to save their dream, their future, and their families! 😭

For the first time, I see Isnad Initiative students in this state, broken, lacking passion, feeling hopeless. 40 students, both male and female, are broken!! And all this because of only $3,200 left! They are in dire need of this money. I have never seen them in such weakness before. Everyone was completing their dream with a small laptop and a simple study desk.

I truly feel the most sorry for my baby sister. She has nothing, the genocide started when her first memories were beginning to form. Now she’s exhausted, starved and traumatized. Her only fault was to be born in Gaza.
