EVEN MORE ANIMATION PRACTICE

This one took a little longer to do since i had to do each leg, the head and the tail individually. Tried to go for something a bit more bouncy but I think I still need some practice on it >:0

I literally whipped these up in less than 5 minutes without much effort put into them so excuse if they’re timed weird or don’t flow well

I’m hoping to have some plot posts animated in the future but that probably wont be til later down the line!

Nathan > I suppose it couldn’t hurt...

Nathan > The humans during this time relied on more spiritual practices in their day to day life. The local Ninetales and Zoroark were drawn to this and grew curious about their new neighbors. The foxes would play pranks and took to petty thievery.

Nathan > Eventually, the foxes grew more opportunistic, even targeting beloved pets for food. Once tolerated, the foxes began to overstay their welcome among the humans. They’d had enough.

Nathan > A local farmer set out to capture the largest Ninetales who seemed to be leading these raids, to make sure she wouldn’t come back-

Nathan > After her death, part of her life essence was released in her death place and the human that killed her lost all his crops. A week passed of peace among the village until the Ninetales reappeared before them, this time with furious allies at their side.

Nathan > Again and again, the humans would kill this Ninetales and those who returned to the village to fight alongside her, but they’d just keep coming back. 

Nathan > The village became more polluted spiritually, but with each death, the foxes would lose a tail upon expending their life energy to curse the humans that tried to end them. 

Nathan > Down to one tail, before she could expend the rest of her energy on teaching the humans a lesson, the villagers had enough. They hired monks to take care of their pest problem and were able to channel all the expended life energy from the foxes and repel it back at them. Doing this, they created a spell bind powerful enough to seal the foxes to the forest's barrier.

Nathan > Thus, her children were left to guide their kin in her place. 

Nathan > The home of the Zoroark and Ninetales tribes became their eternal prison. Their respective environments began shifting over time from the foxes’ influence to what is now known as Fox Territory for the Ninetales and the Woods of Whimsy for the Zoroark. These were our ancestors.

Finley > Do you think the capes will ever be free?

Nathan > ... I once had hope. But I don’t believe it’ll be in our lifetime, I’m afraid.

Nathan > As I could imagine. It’s a harsh reality to grasp sometimes. However, our boundaries are not limited to Fox Territory alone. So long as there are trees, we can roam as we please. But once the trees stop, it is like a wall that stings and repels us back into the forest.

Nathan > I don’t have any special powers in regards to the moon, just the standard power granted to me as a guardian.

How I was appointed to this position was through inheritance. Capes can’t leave the forest so we’re born and raised here to live the rest of our lives. My mother was our previous guardian before she passed of old age.

Nathan > A ninetales stores its power in its tails. As a Cape, ours is so great and compact for our size, our tails lump as one to contain it. The bigger the mass, the more power to contain.

We only separate them when absolutely necessary, lest we expel excess energy.

Nathan > Don’t think I’m excluded from this, being a guardian. I just take my rest during the day.

Nathan > Finley is hardly a threat to us. We welcome him warmly. Now, should someone trespass with the ability to harness and absorb souls to their personal benefit, that’s the real threat we’re facing.

Our bodies are expendable. Our souls are invaluable.
