Frannie: I hope this isn't weird or anything, but I was wondering if you were planning to go to Oliver Bray's get together?

Cooper didn’t have the same level of responsibility in his life as a single parent like Frannie, but he was pretty straight-laced all the same, even if he didn’t have to be and some might not expect it. Fun wasn’t something he ever had trouble finding or having for himself, but he wasn’t big on parties and he didn’t do drugs. Even as a model in LA, surrounded by it, he steered clear. His ambition kept him busy, especially while he was negotiating his way though his newest job here in NYC so he had not been out very much either. He arrived first on purpose, not wanting to force Frannie to navigate getting in and getting a table while alone with a child, knowing how difficult that could be. He’d seen it with Sawyer before, and Hepburn, and Blaine too back in the day when they were little kids. Her smile was met with one of his own and he held the door for them to get inside. “Hey, Frannie! Good to see you too! And Sawyer too. Shy is fine, I have enough confidence for all three of us. I am always ready to eat. The better question is can I stick to something my manager won’t have a heart attack over.”

Cooper’s smile was as bright as ever, a more welcome sight than Frannie had initially anticipated. When the door was held open, she nodded her thanks, stepping inside and pausing to wait for Cooper. “Thanks for that. It’s nice to not have to perform gymnastics to get through a door.” She chuckled as they were lead to their table, and once they arrived she bent to place Sawyer in the high chair the hostess had brought. “I have no doubt about that. You never have been short on confidence, have you?” She said teasingly as she settled in her seat. “Oh, please. I think they’ll survive one night of you eating whatever you want. It’ll be our secret.” Shooting a knowing smile, Frannie picked up the menu in front of her, eyes scanning first for the children’s menu. “So, tell me everything! I have to know how things are! How long are you planning to be in New York? Or, do you know yet?”

Quinn: The biggest plot twist in my life is always going to be how cool you are as a sister. I'm alright. Busy. I'm still looking for someone for that duet challenge. Oliver is in town. I'm starting my next production this weekend. What about you?

Frannie: Thanks, Quinn. It has been pretty cool on my end of things, too. Regardless, I worry about you. This is a big place. Even if you do know how to handle yourself. It sounds like it. I did see that Sue posted the new challenge. I haven't ever been much of a singer, but if you'd like to do one together I would enjoy the idea. Oliver? Bray? I read that! Congratulations, I hope you'll let me know if you need anything, or any help with that.

Franie: Same old, same old down this way. Work, work, and more work. Sawyer and I did meet up with Cooper Anderson for dinner a few nights ago. He's been asking for you. Sawyer, I mean. Not Cooper.

By the time her plans with Cooper rolled around, Frannie was greatly looking forward to having the night out. It had been some time since she had seen Cooper, and it had been a while since Sawyer had been out with anyone other than her. Seeing Cooper waiting just outside the restaurant, Frannie raised a hand in greeting, flashing a bright smile as she approached, Sawyer on her hip. “Hey, Cooper! Good to see you!” She said when they approached. Sawyer put his head in the crook of her neck, using her hair to shield him. “I’m sorry, I told you- shy.” Shaking her head she turned to the restaurant. “Are you ready to eat?”

That DEF is NOT me. I get it, I totes get it. My lil bro has a kid too, you know. I’d hate to make you feel like you have to tuck your kid away somewhere. We are going to have the best time, I can handle shy. I look forward to seeing you too.

That’s right, of course. I always say, we should get Hepburn and Sawyer together more. In fact I was just talking to Mercedes about a play group of some sort with them and Ariel, her brother Andre’s daughter. I have no doubt about it, if anyone can bring someone out of their shell, it’s you.

  Sounds good, yes you will. Really? Wow, that’s...That’s really nice, Cooper. Thanks. You’d be surprised how many people don’t feel the same way. But, if you’re fine with it, I’ll bring him! I’ll warn you now, he’s a little shy. But, I’m sure he’ll have no trouble warming up to you. I’m looking forward to seeing you.

It was for sure! Yeah Romeo is never the chaser, even when I adopted him it was me wanting him and he was just cool lol. He’s a Maltipoo. Tiny with the game of a full breed Retriever! 

I respect a guy who knows how to play it cool. Oh that sounds so adorable! I’ve been thinking of getting a dog. I think it would be good for me and Sawyer. He just knows what he’s after! How is everything in the world of Mercedes Jones?

Oh wow! I’ll cross my fingers for safe travels for you then! Futuristic it is! I can remember a time when you weren’t allowed to even have your cell phone on while on a plane. We’ve come a long way. Tomorrow works well actually! I’ll have Sawyer, but I can see if Mercedes or someone wouldn’t mind watching him for a few!

Story time…I was at the doggy park with Romeo, when some big ole brute decides they wants to try and bully my dog! Nope! Not on my watch. I ask the own to please put their dog on a leash, they become really rude, like I had Bruno staring at me asking if I needed him to intervene. Anyways turns out that Brute was a Brutess and she was trying to mount my poor baby. I am so not ready to be a grandmother! I might have to get him fixed, this is not the first time a dog has come sniffing around my baby. I named him Romeo for a reason.

It sounds like you had an interesting day at the dog park. Never a dull moment, right? At least it was her after him, not the other way around! Of course he played it cool, being your dog! Remind me again, what breed is Romeo?

I did say something about food! Would you like to join me? It’s Cooper, right? I’m Frannie Fabray. I’ve seen your work, but I’m also Quinn Fabray’s older sister. It’s really nice to meet you. Thank you! They are! I’m a little biased, but I think mine might be the cutest. Most of the time anyway, unless he’s into something he shouldn’t be. Even then, he’s still pretty cute.

To tell you the truth even with all the luck I have managed recently I think winning might still be a little far-fetched. So it would be a thrill either way! Me too! I never went through the “wild night out” phase, I don’t think, it just hasn’t ever been my cup of tea. Usually I worry that makes me a grandma, but I’m happy to know I’m not alone. No, don’t thank me. You’re doing me just as much of a favor. Adult interaction, I get far too little of it! You can if you would like but it really isn’t necessary. I don’t mind taking care of everything.
