"Is that Cuttlefish and Octavio?" Marigold asked, standing on her tiptoes trying to look over the crowd.

"It... sure looks like it."

"Should we be concerned?"

"Nah, Cuttlefish can handle himself. I'm too tired from last weekend to worry about any hero work."

"Fair enough."

"All six locations?! How are we supposed to handle this?! There's only ten of us!" Lemon dragged a hand down their face.

"Seems to me the best way to handle this is to just not bother with Umami Ruins at all." Marigold pointed at the location on the map spread out across the table. "It's an hour outside of Splatsville so if the Salmonid do manage to take it we have time to respond before they can launch an attack, and, well, let's be honest, it's already a ruin. What more can the Salmonid do to it? That leaves us with five locations, still spread thin but we can at least have two people posted at each location, even without Peony or Ophelia's help."

"I'm more concerned about the idea of trying to take on all three kings at once. Just taking on one is tough enough. Lil Judd better give us extra time to deal with the three."

"You and I both know he won't, the little shit."

"I mean that is kind of our jobs."

The recording cuts out for a second before coming back up, though Nine's voice was even more nasally than normal.

"Experiment successful, though subject was aggressive upon waking up. Subject seems to be trying to make their way to the surface as we speak. CQ will continue to monitor in case things go wrong."

(I have yet to actually have a chance to even start Side Order let alone finish it and I am just sat here in shock at all the people who had already beaten it by the time I work up yesterday. I thought it dropped yesterday, nope, wednesday apparently

"Oh it's only a matter of time. Unless Lemon decides to start playing blaster."

"They'll probably be trying to use both."

"I think that's supposed to be Jaw."

"What happened to nine being too early in the morning to be excited?" Lana asked with a laugh, gently shoving Marigold.

"It's never too early to be excited about Splatoween."
