Chapter 3: Second Chance

Part 1

Hello everyone again and welcome back to my Trigun post-canon doujinshi Don't Miss Me!! This chapter isn't gonna be a simple one, but I'm very excited to finally share it with y'all!! I loved drawing it, hope you will like it as well :3

This first part is the perfect summary of how I feel like they acted in canon: kinda flirting during their journey, never acting on what they felt but letting it festering in their mind, slowly marinating until they both did or said something completely out of their normalcy. Showing care and love by simple and silent gestures, both knowing too well what that means but both thinking of being completely unlovable monsters.

These idiots.

I had the honor of being commissioned this by @/bouyah🙏🩵

My task was to take their sketch and do my thing with it and I couldn't be happier and more excited 🥹🙏 THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! (about the gladiator AU below, we cooked it together 💞)

The twins get separated at very young age. Nai becomes an emperor, always searching for his brother.

Vash is force to fight as a gladiator in arenas – would rather die than hurt another person but the soldiers always know how to threaten him to get him to fight (threatening to sending children instead of him).

Eventually, Vash meets Wolfwood in one of the arenas and they are forced to fight side by side against another pair. They are so "entertaining" together, they are always kept together, only fighting as a team.

Ofc, they catch feelings for each other and try to make a run for it. Wolfwood made Vash promise him that should anything go wrong, Vash would keep running and never look back.

Wolfwood is captured and Vash keeps running like he promised, though it breaks his heart. Eventually though, weeks later, he is captured too and forced to fight once again, this time, without Wolfwood.

Years and years pass and not only Wolfwood isn't a gladiator anymore, he's the emperor's personal guard (and a little bit more if you get my drift)

Vash eventually makes it to Rome, and that's when Nai recognizes his brother in the arena and stops the games immediately.

Nai reunites with Vash, Vash reunites with Wolfwood. Seeing Nai and Wolfwood obviously have something going on, he tries to stay out of the way, unaware they both want him.

So Nai gets the super smart idea to marry his brother because as much as he wanted to marry Wolfwood already years ago, it wouldn't be allowed. However, Vash has that royal bloodline...

Any opinions on Legends of Avantris?

Never played it. I usually play 5th edition DND with my friends, although I'm really excited to try and play Daggerheart, since all my friends enjoy rp more than combat anyways lol
