TOBIAS  GIGGLES  A  BIT,  as  the  younger  boy  twists  and  turns  in  his  chair,  his  pretty  puppy-dog  eyes  making  tobi's  heart  melt.  just  a  little  bit.  ❝cutie.❞    he  mumbles  under  his  breath,  and  then  waves  over  one  of  the  waiters.  ❝c'mon,  it's  no  fun  to  drink  alone,❞  he  pats  the  seat  next  to  his,  waiting  for  the  other  to  sit  down.  ❝hm.  oh,  yeah.  i  should  probably  be  at  the  festival  stuff,❞    he  jokes.  ❝but  i  don't  like  big  crowds.  too  many  people.❞  the  waiter  finally  approaches  the  table  ,  so  tobias  orders  a  second  beer  then  gestures  toward  his  companion.  ❝  what  would  you  like  ?  ❞

HE'D  FOUND  A  small,  quiet  bar  in  the  middle  of  the  city  the  day  he  arrived  in  barcelona,  and  he'd  spent  every  day  there  since.  it  was  early,  too  early,  for  drinking  such  strong  liquor,  but  tobias  didn't  care.  he  also  knew  that  the  stupid  recruitment  fair  was  happening,  and  he  should  probably  show  his  face,  but  he  wasn't  in  the  proper  frame  of  mind  to  interact  with  his  fellow  students.  not  yet.  he'd  received  (  and  ignored  )  so  many  text  and  voice  messages  from  various  people,  mostly  his  brother,  in  korea,  that  morning  and  he  needed  the  distraction  that  only  alcohol  could  provide.  his  elbows  were  leaned  against  the  table  as  he  nursed  his  favorite  drink  ,  munched  on  tapas  and  people-watched.  he  took  another  sip  as  his  eyes  locked  onto  the  person  sitting  at  the  table  next  to  his  ,  alone.  ❝  can  i  get  you  a  drink  ?  ❞

( park jimin, cismale, he/him )  — - ?` it was great seeing TOBIAS KIM around barcelona today! the TWENTY-TWO year old is originally from seoul, south korea, but they’re here to study psychology as a EXCHANGE STUDENT. i heard the FOURTH YEAR got into barcelona university because they’re dedicated, but some say they can also be bitter. no wonder people are starting to call them THE LOST SOUL.

LOOSE BACKGROUND !!

he grew up in a very strict household. tobias’ parents were very hard on him & his younger brother. 

growing up , he knew he was gonna follow in his dad’s footsteps. take over the family business when he was old enough. 

he worked w his dad for several years as a young teenager. that is, until he started drinking & partying. 

he spent so much time hangin out w his friends, & he lost the job at his dad’s company. he didn’t care. he never liked working there anyway. BUT —— he eventually cared when he needed cash for booze. 

he stole from his parents to buy alcohol one too many times, & was kicked out on his ass the second they found out. 

( for reference, he stole his mama’s engagement ring & sold it to buy drinks isfgsiugh )

the only family he ever speaks to now is his brother ,, and that’s v rare ! their parents won’t allow them to see one another bc tobias is “a bad influence” 

he’s not gay. he’s definitely not straight. — he’s still figuring out who he is. he’s young , & has all the time in the world to figure himself out , but it can be frustrating not having a sincere grasp of who you are.

can be e x t r e m e l y blunt, & off-putting, & lowkey miserable to be around sometimes ?? when he’s drunk , mostly , which is very often ! 

he’s desperate to be a better person , but he has his demons , you know ? drinking is something that he’s not ready to let go of just yet. 

he wants to be a therapist, wants to help families who’re struggling. wants to make sure they stay together. 

his biggest regret in life is not fighting for his family, so if he can do anything about it, nobody else will make the same mistake.

has severe commitment issues. so , when you happen to earn his trust ( if you’re lucky ) , you’ve gotta work hard to keep it. but you also should note that you’ll have someone in your life who will willingly go to hell & back for you.
