—   𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐎𝐍𝐄 ;   HISTORY.

daniel was born into a very wealthy family, his father being a politician in the southern california area and his mother was an heiress to a cosmetics company over in south korea. growing up, his life was a lonely one that was filled with empty place settings where mom and dad should have been. his parents seemed to operate as if they didn’t have a son, always off doing their own thing, never really paying much attention to the little boy.

daniel’s feelings of being unwanted only grew when he was sent away to boarding school despite it being located only an two hours away from his home. he was a little shy at first, however, he managed to wiggle his way into the popular crowd and eventually found himself becoming more confident and outgoing. as his popularity grew, so did the attention he’d attracted from his peers.

he was only sixteen when he had his first sip of alcohol and found himself with a couple of notches in his belt. of course, being that the school was full of other wealthy kids, the administrators would always turn their heads away from the debauchery. daniel never learned what consequences were and believed that he was able to get away with things that most his age wouldn’t. he never got upset over his parents not asking how he was doing, never thought about how his first words were taught to him by the nanny rather than mom and dad, never felt the need to try to get his parents to notice his existence.

an interest in science blossomed after his class trip to a laboratory where they were shown the entire process behind catching a criminal. while his friends weren’t interested and tried to get the male in on not taking it seriously, daniel was fully invested. after that, he threw himself into researching everything he possibly could about forensic science and began spending his weekends watching documentaries instead of partying.

in the last year, daniel hasn’t been able to focus on his schoolwork as much as he would like with the upcoming senate election and his father campaigning. the man insisted that it was important to appear as a united front in the eyes of the media so publicity appearances and interviews slowly became his new reality. he applied to be an exchange student so that he could continue his studies in a location that his parents couldn’t so easily reach him at or forcefully bring him back.

( kristine froseth, cis-female, she/her )  — - ̗̀ it was great seeing ADELINA DELMAR around barcelona today! the TWENTY year old is originally from perpignan, france but they’re here to study chemical engineering as a LOCAL STUDENT. i heard the SECOND YEAR got into barcelona university because they’re radiant, but some say they can also be insincere. no wonder people are starting to call them THE MISSIONARY.  

When reflecting upon her childhood, Adelina can’t remember anything more than the warmth of her adoptive family’s love and the weight of a cross hanging firmly upon her neck. Graced with angelic features and doll like eyes, the Delmar’s were sure that Adelina was heaven sent. With God as their pillar, the Delmar’s were permanently knelt at their heavenly Father’s alter. The Delmar’s relationship with God ran deeper than the veins in Adelina’s body. Hours upon hours were dedicated to praying and spending time at the local church but with every holy breath Adelina took, she couldn’t help but feel wrong. Her parents described having a beautiful relationship with God but no matter how hard Adelina squeezed her eyes shut, she only found emptiness.

Adelina never mentioned her lack of belief, she could obviously see how much attending church meant to her parents, and she was so thankful to be apart of their lives. And so Adelina breezed through the sacraments of her church and excelled in every course in private religious schooling and she was on the track to attend a university in England. But just a few months before she was to leave for university, things took a turn for the worse. Adelina and her childhood best friend were drunkenly celebrating finishing their schooling when Adelina revealed she was thrilled to no longer have a religious obligation. Within the blink of an eye, it was the next morning and who Adelina considered to be her best friend informed the Delmar’s about Adelina’s drunken confession. With emotions high and a slight hangover, Adelina confessed her unholy truth. Her parents were more calm than she had ever seen them when they gave her two options; she could leave or she could attend Barcelona University and continue her studies as a chemical engineering student. She had no other options and so Little Adelina worked at church for the rest of the summer and when the time came she packed up her bags and relocated to the dorms in Barcelona.

With her aunt as a professor at the university, Adelina has been kept under a close eye for the past year. But quickly into her second semester of schooling Adelina discovered a new, raw passion of art. While attending the class, Adelina found herself challenged in way that she hadn’t ever been before. With this new found expression of her emotions, Adelina is torn knowing that she is unable to study her passion. Adelina can hide her art classes with the excuse of just completing her prerequisites but she isn’t how much longer that excuse will work before her aunt catches on and reports back to her parents.

Adelina’s parents act almost as if the whole ordeal never happened, but she sees a deep sadness within her mother’s eyes and disapproval within her father’s gaze. Her emotions have been thrown into overdrive after she overheard a conversation between her parents and her aunt; they were considering no longer financially supporting Adelina. With the stench of desperation following her every move, Adelina has organized a club for students looking to strengthen their relationship with God. But as the only steady member of the club, Adelina was ironical enough, praying for a miracle… until she found one, a group of thirty exchange students were coming to Barcelona. She would sweep a couple of the students under her wing and get them to join her religious club. Adelina would get them to fall in love with Barcelona and because she will have created a beautiful community, they’d never want to leave. As much as Adelina longs to be free and not have to go through the charades of convincing new students to join her religious club, she knows that she has no choice. A dainty cross presses against Adelina’s chest, pulsating with every heartbeat as a reminder that her chains are still bound.

LOOSE BACKGROUND !!

he grew up in a very strict household. tobias’ parents were very hard on him & his younger brother. 

growing up , he knew he was gonna follow in his dad’s footsteps. take over the family business when he was old enough. 

he worked w his dad for several years as a young teenager. that is, until he started drinking & partying. 

he spent so much time hangin out w his friends, & he lost the job at his dad’s company. he didn’t care. he never liked working there anyway. BUT —— he eventually cared when he needed cash for booze. 

he stole from his parents to buy alcohol one too many times, & was kicked out on his ass the second they found out. 

( for reference, he stole his mama’s engagement ring & sold it to buy drinks isfgsiugh )

the only family he ever speaks to now is his brother ,, and that’s v rare ! their parents won’t allow them to see one another bc tobias is “a bad influence” 

he’s not gay. he’s definitely not straight. — he’s still figuring out who he is. he’s young , & has all the time in the world to figure himself out , but it can be frustrating not having a sincere grasp of who you are.

he’s desperate to be a better person , but he has his demons , you know ? drinking is something that he’s not ready to let go of just yet.

his biggest regret in life is not fighting for his family, so if he can do anything about it, nobody else will make the same mistake.

has severe commitment issues. so , when you happen to earn his trust ( if you’re lucky ) , you’ve gotta work hard to keep it. but you also should note that you’ll have someone in your life who will willingly go to hell & back for you.

TRIGGER WARNINGS:  death  &  mental / verbal  abuse ,  underage  drinking  mentions .

basically ,  his  parents  are  well - off  enough  to  be  comfortable  with  a  tad  bit  of  extra  cushion .  his  mom  divorced  his  bio  dad  when  he  was  four ,  and  she  remarried  her  side - guy .  his  dad  got  him  on  the  weekends  and  every  other  thursday  and  friday ,  and  he  preferred  being  with  his  bio  dad ,  who  was  his  hero  and  main  inspiration  ( and  still  is ) .

his  bio  dad  died  in  a  workplace  accident  when  jude  was  ten ,  and  his  bio  mom  got  full  custody  of  her  golden  boy  ( that’s  what  his  step - dad  called  him ,  and  not  in  a  Nice  way ) .  he’d  acted  out  before  then ,  but  after  his  dad  died ,  he  acted  out  a  lot  more  frequently  and  more  intensely --  but  he  also  got  better  at  hiding  it  and  finding  ways  around  consequences .

he’s  had  his  mind  set  on  going  to  barcelona  for  college  since  he  was  seventeen  and  freshly  out  of  high  school .  he  wanted  to  get  as  far  away  from  his  mom  and  step - dad  as  possible ,  because  when  they  weren’t  ignoring  his  existence ,  they  were  overbearingly  loud  and  mean  ( and  he  was  loud  &  mean  right  back ) .  they  were  more  than  happy  to  pay  his  tuition  and  get  him  out  of  their  hair .

he  started  smoking  somewhere  between  the  ages  of  sixteen  and  seventeen .  was  drinking  before  then .

as  for  friends ,  he  wasn’t  ever  really ,  you  know ,  the  most  popular  kid .  he  was  bullied  in  elementary  until  he  stood  up  for  himself  in  fifth  grade  by  punching  a  bully  in  the  jaw .  as  he  grew ,  he  preferred  his  lonesome ,  because  everyone  he  got  close  to  would  quickly  turn  around  and  start  ignoring  him  or  whispering  behind  his  back .  kids ,  right ??  //  he  DOES  have  one  friend  he  made  in  eighth  grade  that  is  still  his  best  friend ,  to  this  day ,  but  he  and  his  family  moved  to  australia ,  of  all  places ,  in  their  senior  year .

TDLR:  his  parents  suck ,  he’s  never  liked  people ,  grew  up  too  fast ,  and  he  misses  his  dad  and  best  friend .  oh ,  and ,  he  grew  up  speaking  both  english  and  spanish ,  using  almost  only  spanish  when  with  his  bio  dad .

too  intelligent  to  his  own  good ,  but  not  exactly  the  wisest .  his  best  subjects  are  science  and  math ,  and  he’s  a  li’l  nerd ,  but  by  g*d  if  he  isn’t  also  the  stupidest  dude  ever ,  and  he  knows  it .  he  does  it  on  purpose .

cynical ,  sarcastic  as  hell ,  and  has  a  deeply  rooted  hatred  for  authority  and  most  anyone  who  is  above  the  age  of  a millennial .  he’s  ( mostly )  self - interested ,  and  he’s  gotten  people  into  trouble  before  without  remorse ,  even  though  they  hadn’t  ever  done  anything  to  him .

quiet  and  soft - spoken ,  but  easily  riled  up .  he’s  got  a  short  fuse ,  and  anyone  who  has  met  him  knows  this  very  well .  he  doesn’t  usually  yell ,  but  he’s  gotten  into  many  fights  in  the  past .  he’s  got  more  bite  than  bark ,  when  he’s  truly  pissed  off .

seems  fearless ,  but  he’s  just  very  brave ,  bold ,  impulsive ,  and  stupid .  he  will  provoke  someone  thrice  his  size ,  and  he’ll  do  almost  anything  someone  dares  him  to  do .  he’s  got  a  good  record  for  that .

he’s  good  at  not  getting  caught  by  authority  figures ,  or  if  he  is  caught ,  it’s  not  entirely  difficult  for  him  to  get  out  of  a  slippery  situation .  he’s  got  his  wits  to  help  him  out  where  his  physical  strength  and  agility  lack .

he  could  be  literally  dying  and  he’d  still  try  to  get  up  and  walk ,  and  piss  off  the  people  he  doesn’t  like  or  who  hurt  him .  his  perseverance  and  determination  rarely  falter ,  and  it’s  not  always  a  good  thing .

okay ,  so ,  he’s  aloof  and  doesn’t  like  being  close  to  anyone ,  but  he  always  finds  himself  getting  close  with  at  least  one  or  two  people  that  he  lowkey  would  die  for .  he’ll  tease  ‘friends’  to  no  end ,  but  all  in  good  nature ,  and  it’s  easy  to  tell  when  he  likes  you  because  he’ll  talk  a  little  more ,  and  walk  or  sit  closer  to  you  ( and  it’s  easier  to  fluster  him ) .  he’s  actually  a  pretty  decent  friend ,  if  you  get  that  close  to  him ,  always  there  and  willing  to  help  ( even  though  he’ll  tell  everyone  else  he  doesn’t  actually  care  about  you ,  he  does ) .

TDLR:  he’s  a  little  shit  who  has  A  Heart   and  is  to  Smart  and  Mischievous  for  his  own  good ,  with  the  mouth  of  a  sailor ,  albeit  a  quiet  one .  gets  headshakes  and  tsks  from  everyone .

          close  friend ,  confidante:  someone  who  rivals  his  best  friend  in  australia ,  who  he  didn’t  even  realize  he  was  getting  close  to  when  it  was  happening .  he’d  always  be  suggesting  they  go  out  together  and  do  whatever .  he’d  just  want  to  hang  out  with  them  a  lot  because  they’re  “ the  only  person  he  can  stand . ”  he’d  die  for  them .

          rivals ,  enemies ,  nemesis  and  what - have - yous:  probably  someone  or  some  people  who  are  more  stuck - up ,  who  always  follow  the  rules ;  OR  who  are  just  very  competitive  and  want  to  see  who  can  do  the  stupidest  shit  without  getting  caught .  can  be  amiable  or  actually  full  of  disdain .

          study  buddies / smol  group  of  ‘friends’:  he’s  really  neutral  with  them ,  but  talks  more  to  them  to  most  others  ( a  lot  more ,  actually ) .  they  give  him  the  chance  to  completely  nerd  out ,  and  they  actually  understand  what’s  coming  out  of  his  mouth ,  even  when  it’s  coming  out  a  mile  a  minute .  and  he  listens  when  they  do  the  same ,  and  they  help  each  other  out  when  they’re  stuck ,  teach  each  other  new  things ,  etc .  basically ,  they’re  total�� adorable  geeks  together .

          bad - influencee:  someone  who’s ,  for  some  reason ,  taken  an  interest  in  him  and  actually  wants  to  hang  out  with  him ,  and  he’s  starting  to  rub  off  on  them  with  his  mischievous ,  cunning ,  deceitful  ways .
