Isaac’s been waiting for him-- the alcohol in his bloodstream helps his nerves, helps him not wonder if Louis was going to show up at all. Even in his stupor, he manages to prep himself; gets off the sofa and takes the quickest of showers. Towels off-- decides on a sheer lacy black robe, nothing else.
When he hears the bell, Isaac checks himself in a mirror one last time before opening the door. He smiles up at Louis, leaning his head against the door as he steps back to let him in.
     “--I thought you’d never come.”

When Louis arrives at Isaac’s apartment, he can’t help but feel as if though he was meant to be here tonight. Continuing to follow suit with these enchanted meetings that he and the sprite seem to keep having…the lust in him can’t help but answer the call.
Expensive wine under his arm, a delicate dessert, as well as anything else that Isaac could want, Louis is flush with the anticipation that greets him at the door’s ornate threshold, ringing the bell to greet him at such an hour.

supcrbia:
Percy doesn’t expect the tender topic to emerge so suddenly. He had spent nights half-awake, also wondering what happened to them; why they moved apart, if Theo loved him at all. He wondered if Theo ever planned on coming back to rescue him from that awful life – and when that didn’t happen… Well, none of that seems to matter after they’ve reunited, years and years down the road. But Percy would be lying if the question wasn’t at the back of his head this whole time: where were you?
It’s so hard to resent Theo over anything, now. They were best friends – in a way, they’ve always been. They ended up with different people over the course of time, all of whom would eventually drop them, disappoint them. Percy blames the wine for the tears that start forming, setting his glass aside as well. He closes his eyes, and takes a breath.
   “—I waited for you. I… I tried.”
“I know. I know. I’m so sorry.” Theo leans his forehead into Percy’s temple. It was his fault-- he knows that, knows he could have been there for Percy. Done something for him. He might not know it all, but he knows that he had left Percy at such a hard point in his life. There’s no way for himself to excuse the fact that he had left. He should have been there for him.
Theo brushes his hand into Percy’s hair, trailing what he means to be gentle kisses against his cheek. When he finds traces of tears, he brushes them away with his thumb. It’s all done in hopes to comfort Percy.
“We’re here, now. I know that doesn’t make up for all the time apart... and I’m so sorry for it. I should have married you when I had the chance.”

As fate would have it, the only comfort they have left is each other. It’s not often that Percy is the last to get drunk, but it would appear Theo had started early, and on something a bit more potent than the wine he’s been helping himself to. He was intent on getting drunk, and Percy would know. He can only imagine the state his friend would be in now, had he chosen not to come. Percy doesn’t intend on leaving the man’s side unless he absolutely has to.
“She’ll come back… she has to come back. She’s your wife, why wouldn’t she come back?”
Percy isn’t sure if any of this is the right thing to say; their situation had been ideal a few years ago, but have things truly changed so much since? He could easily ask himself that question, though. For now, he’s happy to tell Theo anything he wants to hear, true or not. This is the least he can do for his dearest friend.
“… But it’s been a long time since she’s been back. Hasn’t it?”
Theo isn’t enthusiastic to answer. He turns to Percy, walking to the couch and gracelessly settling next to him. He sets his drink back down. Percy’s question doesn’t have to be answered. They both know it’s the truth, and Theo can’t find the strength to say it out loud. Their marriage was tarnished the moment their child had been stolen from them. Something Theo wanted to forget, but setting such a thing aside set Piper away from him as well. It hurt too much to speak of it.
“I wanted to run away with you, when we were kids. If I had taken the chance-- I should have taken it. When I didn’t see you again... I was so hurt. You were the most beautiful boy I had ever met. You were my best friend. I’d missed you.”

Theodore knows having Percy over isn’t something he shouldn’t have bent to. Piper had known what Percy meant to him, but it’s different now. They’ve essentially become friends, although that was not the origins of their friendship. Piper wasn’t the first person he had seriously considered proposing to.
Now he’s here. In his home. Addled senses still let him pick up his drink without spilling it, but his ability to keep his mouth from running too far is not what it was before.

Era holds off on any complaint about her shoes settling atop his pants. Truly, he doesn’t have a reason to be angry-- he doesn’t actually care about how much they costed. He has plenty more. His hand settles on a boot, squeezing her leg gently.
     “I’ve missed you, Ira.”

Booted legs hitched up, stretching across servant’s lap. No mind that his slacks looked a kind of expensive her one-percenter clients would approve of; after all, what monetary ( mortal ) value could one place upon a moment like this? A moment where two very inhuman entities may play dress-up, mute the filth and bustle and stink of man from their company and simply lounge, bask together?        “Tell me you’ve missed me, Era.”

“You ask the silliest questions. I think you could pick better ones.” Isaac draws himself onto the bed and over Louis. He settles onto his lap, his fingers gently combing through Louis’ hair. He leans down to press close to his other.
“I missed you. Is that so hard to believe? I wanted to see you, Louis.”

“Isn’t it a bit late?” No, it’s never too late for Louis, never for you. But oh, how he loves playing his games and watching Isaac dance for him.
"How did you get here?“ Not that he’s opposed to his company, not one bit.

A sigh escapes Percy, who watches Theo from the comfort of cushions and blankets. He had feigned being asleep, but that game is boring to him, now– and the faint, filtered light glinting off of his husband’s skin is quickly wearing down his patience.
He croaks out in a tired voice,
“—You could at least do that over here.”

The display catches Percy’s eye; something Isaac draws out a little too long for it to be completely unintentional. Frustrating that the boy has him figured out so easily. That he can just come along and distract Percy so well, and with such minimal effort. There has to be some extra motive to this, he thinks. It’s that, or Isaac has the same, insatiable hunger for attention that Percy has been plagued with.
There’s a flagrant appeal to the contrast of his own fair skin against Isaac’s when dragging his fingertips against an exposed belly. Wanton energy flickers behind blue eyes. If there was a reason to keep his hands to himself, he’s forgotten it already.

“… Demanding. You’re demanding. But you’re not committed. I’m sure it’s been easy for you, knowing all you have at your disposal. But understand this: it won’t be so easy with me. I’m not giving you what you want, just because you want it. I worked hard to get away from that– understand?”
In long-term relationships, Percy is submissive more often than not. When it comes to less committed partners, however, he’s more quick to take charge. Regardless of what Isaac is to him now, Percy is showing him where they stand. It should be clear that he won’t succumb so easily, even if he is feeling a little desperate at the moment.
As someone of his status and recognizability – as the predominant vessel of Pride – there are many more who would clamor for his attention and respect. Percy tends to forget that detail in times like this, but Isaac should remember exactly who it is he’s speaking to.
“There’s more to you than shock-value, Isaac. Act like it.”
A smile twitches across the corners of his lips, but it’s quickly rubbed away. Percy’s words are a splash of freezing water, and Isaac is left with the shock of it. His teasing usually makes it easy to dismantle even those he respects to someone he can speak so obscenely to. So easily to.
“You’re tough.” He rubs the back of his neck before he takes another cigarette out of his purse. “No one’s ever told me any of that.”
He taps his nails against the table surface. Isaac usually doesn’t take this kind of talk from anyone, but he takes it from Percy. The sin’s one of the few people he will actually listen to-- he and Louis are basically exclusive in that right. But even Louis has never quite told him to cut his behavior.
“I’ve never had to act any other way. This is... different.”

“Would you rather it if I told you I just want your dick in my mouth?” Isaac crosses one leg beneath his thigh, letting the other swing freely. He can pretend to hide his smile as he squashes his cigarette into the tray. Percy’s eyes are finally on him, and it feels good to have his attention. A nice side effect to being around him enough, he’s sure.
“--I was trying to be subtle.” But subtlety is not something Isaac ever tests. It’s not in his nature, and he’s never been shy about his desires, either. He leans back in his chair instead of taking the green light so soon. His fingers pick at the lace of his Converse as he tilts his head in mock contemplation.
“A person like me-- now what do you mean by that, I wonder?”

Xander has to ponder on his options for a moment. He’s never been a very public person, giving people as little information about himself as possible; it’s his one rule, and he doesn’t see himself going against it anytime soon. He’ll put on an air of total nonchalance until he deems it safe enough.
“—If it’s all the same to you, we should get out of here.”
“That’s fine with me.” Isaac gets up, smoothing out his shorts. He starts walking out the bar, looking behind him to make sure Xander’s following. Privacy doesn’t bother Isaac any. He’ll do it anywhere as it is. There’s a nice breeze outside, even with the humidity pressing against his body.
“So, where'd you like to take me?”

Isaac nods, waving over a waiter and asking for a bottle. Once they return and the glasses are poured, Isaac takes the neck of his and swallows with little thought to how much he’ll be drinking. He’s sure that Percy would feel more comfortable if they were poisoning their liver together, anyway.
“--What would you like to talk about? If anything.”

Percy’s trying to remain civil, he truly is, but Isaac has already pressed so many of his buttons. Someone Percy loves has been missing for several weeks now, without a trace. This one bad evening is nothing compared to his endless dread.
Now he’s somewhere between brushing Isaac off and pursuing his company. It’s funny – Percy thought coming out here would help him feel less lonely; it’s the only reason he even left the house. For once, he wishes that he could be treated as a person, not something so cold and impersonal as a celebrity.
“… Thank you, darling.” Percy briefly turns away to rub at his eye. “—I wish I could be better company for you, right now. —I’m just so worried… I actually thought, maybe I’d find him here. Isn’t that silly?”
Isaac listens, watching Percy as he speaks. He doesn’t know what to say for him; what would make him feel better? Isaac speaks best in touches, not in words, though offering his usual form of touching would be severely inappropriate at this point. He opts for placing his hand on the man’s shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze.
“You’ve got every right to hope, yeah? Ça va. Vous essayez.”
