guuh been feeling super conflicted about my art lately, probably because i've been rlly anxious recently.. i want to learn more and more about art, and broaden my horizons in different aspects, like color theory, composition, simplifying shapes, getting better at landscapes etc. but at the same time all i have energy for is silly self-indulgent sketches- and it's disappointing.. when i should be working on my children's book illustration portfolio, and graphic design skills so i could actually land a fair paying job in the industry. i have a tendency to put so much pressure on myself that i crumble, so even when im happy with how a sketch turned out, suddenly all i can see are things i should've done differently, should've done better. most of my frustration stems from that (other than the job part), because i love art, and i love creating art and appreciating the flaws, like thats literally the best part about it!! aaah idk just lots of contradicting thoughts about my own art,,

i know this too will pass, and the excitement that others interacting with my art brings, helps more than you could imagine. so if you've ever interacted with my art, thank you so much. i really really appreciate it
