Not a question, I just thought you'd appreciate these pictures of my little worm! He's a year and a half old African Egg Eater! He's almost three feet long and about as thick as a sharpie. His name is Pippin because he's little and clumsy. 🪱

Oh no, I have died from cuteness poisoning.

A reptile fancier friend of mine has kept egg eating snakes for a couple of years and she says they're extremely picky eaters. They will not accept rodents or small animals dead or alive, only eggs, and even the eggs they eat have to be unfertilized ones because if it already has an embryo inside the snake won't be able to digest it. It's weird how specific their diets are and it makes me wonder how they thrive in the wild on such a limited food source...

So correct me if I'm wrong, but what egg-eating snakes do is a lot like what you might do when getting a long noodle stuck in your throat, right?

If your process for getting noodles out of your throat involves swallowing them until they're at the very back of your throat, using a special vertebra to crack open the noodle's shell, straightening your neck and squeezing your muscles to swallow the delicious and nutritious noodle yolk, and then regurgitating the noodle shell, then yeah, it's very similar.
