I really appreciate that Suzanne Collins didn't do the traditional 'rags to riches' story.

Life didn't get easier for Katniss (and the other victors) with money and fame. If anything, it got harder. Yes, there were obvious privileges such as a stable amount of food on the table, a warm home, and even something considered simple like access to showers. But still, the pitfalls of a fascist government didn't go away because she gained money and became rich. She stayed a victim to the system.

The story could have easily ended when Katniss won the Games, because that's how so many American stories go; become rich = all problems are solved, book closed. We truly see how money can't always buy protection and happiness under a broken system, especially for someone oppressed. Oppression doesn't go away when you become rich. It just changes forms, and the tale doesn't end because life doesn't have a happily ever after under fascism or other broken systems.

Katniss might have gotten her riches, but life with the Games was still rags no matter what.

the thing that bothers me with 7 deadly sin based characters is when they cant decide if they embody the sin by suffering from it or by drawing it out of others. ie. if your gluttony demon is a guy who loves eating then your lust demon should be a gooner sex pest. and if your lust demon is a seductive girlboss then your gluttony demon should be a 5 star chef. does this make sense.
