I can't wait for the Sunrise on the Reaping film so that I can further become obsessed with 4 District 2 tributes who I know will die.
Oh yeah, and Silka, along with the D12 crew. But mostly District 2.

I've got a lot of respect for smut writers. you write something incredibly sexual, it's probably somewhat of a look into your own soul, and then bitches are too scared to leave kudos of comments half the time, so it looks as though everyone hates your work. And yet yall still do it, and I love that

I'm literally so saddened by the fact that comments on ao3 have become so sparse all of a sudden.
I used to get quite a bit, but now I'm lucky to get more than one, even if that.
It doesn't matter if it's only a few hearts or three letters, I just want to know people are enjoying my work. But it's nothing.
If you're worried about embarrassing yourself by leaving a comment, trust me, if it's positive, the author will cherish whatever you say no matter what.
Am I close to crying over the fact that no one seems to comment anymore, and i think my writing has declined because it feels like no one cares... no it's not that serious no

The "katniss' perception of it" is a great angle, but since the movie doesn't only focus on her, it's harder to justify. But I don't hate the Cornucopia in the film, I kind of like that it's abstract. I like to think that the first few Games to feature it that it would look like the typical ones, but as time went on, it becomes more strange and abstract. Almost symbolizing how the Games have sort of morphed into something else other than just a punishment for the districts. More intense, trying to outdo itself, and becoming more intricate.
I just think the visual symbolism would have been better if it actually resembled a cornucopia and not whatever the hell that was.
It's kind of interesting that in the film, the Cornucopia is silver, while in the novel, it's gold.
Some would say it's such a small change, and it is, but I wonder if it's because silver and chrome are seen as more futuristic than gold within pop culture and visuals.
I almost wish it was gold, though, because I see that being in line with Capitol. The Cornucopia's color in the movie is almost too tasteful (despite its brutalist shape), while gold might have made it stand out even more. Too much gold can be extremely unappealing, using it in a monochrome way is seen as way too much and overbearing (not talking about fashion or jewelery, but interior design and rich people shit) as though one is showing off. Symbolize the guady-ness of the Capitol and even the Games themselves.
Make it look like a block of gold that happens to resemble a Cornucopia because that's what the Games and that Capitol are to many tributes (especially D1, 2, and 4); dangling a promise of money, riches, fame, and fortune, stuffing it up with random items that barely get you by. But in reality, it's gilded gold. It's just painted that, symbolizing how underneath the glitz and glamor, shit is still pretty ugly in the Capitol, too.

Note
why do i think you look like clove bc of your pfp
I don't look anything like her (I take this as a big compliment, though) with one exception of a picture

(Think I kind of look like her here, and yes, I was doing an inspired look, but there's something about my expression that has my face looking like hers somehow)
