I haven't seen anyone do this yet, and these tracks aren't on the OST as far as I'm aware, but here is all the audio files for the piano Kris plays in the Holiday house scene. They sound like real recordings to me, although I don't know who is playing. I've heard it might be Toby based on the style but I can't say for sure

Incidentally I have no idea what sevenfour is a arrangement of so if someone knows I would be interested to hear.

The day's plan had been nothing but sleep, with the occasional fridge raid should their mother return with desserts from whatever teacher's meeting she was attending. She'd asked them to move to the living room, to keep their ears peeled for any stray knocks at the door, but they'd quickly fallen asleep again the moment she'd exited the room. It's fine, anyone who did come by could just come back later. The last thing they wanted was to endure small talk on her behalf.

Guess the sudden, intense knocking that followed was karma. For a moment they remain unmoved, trying to gauge if it was something they could sleep through with enough persistence, but something caged began to rattle alongside the knocks. Great.

Finally rolling out of bed, the human shambled to make themself somewhat presentable. Hair? Smoothed. Pajamas? Sort of smoothed. Soul? Reluctantly pulled from its prison, and placed back in their chest.

Let's get this over with.

Meeting the little boy's gaze, Kris dimly recalled his previous house visits. He was a student from their mother's class, one of a set their mother always recounted stories off. She always insisted the costumed antics reminded her of their younger days, when they took their false horns wherever they went. They guess they saw it, observing the clear attempt to lean into the innocent act. A classic technique that had once served them well.

They'd play along, try to gauge what the kid's angle was. If he intended to get any more of their mother's butterscotches, he'd be in for some major disappointment. They emptied that bowl hours ago.

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!! The knocking was so loud whoever was inside that house at the time might have thought fireworks were going off outside. KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!! But, nope. Nothing like it. It was nothing more than a very persistent kid with a knack for knocking doors.

With that, his hands hid behind him, rocking on his heels as the waiting began. Oh, he knew whose door he was knocking at, alright. His teacher's, Ms. Toriel's! He had been there at least once before, for homework help, but... the circumstances behind his visit were very different that afternoon.

Judging by the shifty eyes, and how he had been waiting behind a tree until the goat lady's van passed by, Pump had a clear ulterior motive. One that become clear the instant he heard a quiet click coming from behind the front door, causing him to stand on his tippy-toes for maximum good boy demeanor.

And it was just who he wanted to see-- ❝ Hiiii. ❞ --the youngest of the Dreemurrs! Not like anybody else lived in that house, as far as he was aware.

Hammer, Spear and stick. Stick of Justice didn't exactly have the same ring to it, so that probably wasn't it. Maybe it was a title she'd have to earn?

Not as important of a question, they guess.

Returning her grin with one of their own, they give her announcement a round of applause. Susie, it was a name they'd caught in passing. Snippets of conversations the echo flowers around the marsh had carried, though said conversations were always too broken up to glean much.

At the quick correction on the existence of her tail, they squinted. It was the kind of playfully disbelieving look where you're clearly not buying what's being sold, but is letting it go out of politeness.

If they could have one, along with maybe a couple real horns, all of their problems would be solved. They're almost jealous, really.

They open their mouth to respond, sound dying in their throat.

[ * From Snowdin. ♥️ * Just visiting. ]

Man, overruled.

They suppose giving definitive details was a bit risky considering they had no clue how tight knit these regions were. Going on to claim they were from Snowdin, only to get called on lying wouldn't exactly make a great first impression.

But they had to give her something, it'd be rude otherwise! Putting aside the fact she was the coolest monster they'd seen so far, being someone familiar with the region means she might know her way around. In other words, she might know where not to be as far as the Royal Guard is concerned. Introductions were in order.

Hey, my fellow Deltarune gamers- have you finished the new chapters, and are still riding all that hype? Want more of that bullet dodging gameplay & emotional moments for your soul? Already finished your Undertale re-playthrough, or just don't find the thought of going through it again worth it with it being a decade old?

Well allow me, your friend Lila, to pitch you my growing list of UTDR Fangames I've played that I think deserve your time!

UNDERTALE FANGAMES

Undertale Yellow: Needs no introduction considering it's popularity, which is entirely deserved- Undertale Yellow is an amazing prequel experience, with an almost wholly original story, a new cast of characters & areas, following the adventure of the Yellow Soul of Justice, Clover. Cannot recommend it enough.

PS!Outertale: Never in my lifetime did I think of all the various Undertale AUs, Outertale would have been the first one to receive a fully completed & realized fangame, much less one I consider second to Undertale Yellow ONLY because it's technically still mostly a retelling of Undertale. This game is AMAZING, and massively underrated- all the fights have been completely redone with new patterns & mechanics, it has a whole original soundtrack, and dodges any feeling of being stale by not being afraid to drastically diverge from Undertale's plot, including a whole new secret route. ADORE it.

TS!Underswap: Another Undertale AU, but don't be fooled by the name- this isn't any classic Underswap you might be familiar with, it's an entirely new take that does an excellent job at playing into the full consequences of all the role swaps. The characters still feel like themselves, while also fully taking on their new roles. This is technically only a "demo" right now, but I consider it that in the same sense Deltarune CH1&CH2 were a "demo"- there's a huge amount of content available already, even if the demo only covers the first two areas (the "Ruins" & "Snowdin" equivalents). The game is still in active development with regular updates.

UNDERTALE MODS

Undertale Red & Yellow: As the name might suggest, this is a mod of Undertale that's meant to be played after Undertale Yellow, adding a few new locations & character appearances from the titular fangame to Undertale for you find, and most prominently adding ghostly Chara & Clover as two characters you can TALK to, with unique lines of dialogue available for every room in the game, as well as tons of new commentary for all of the game's routes. I consider this the IDEAL way to replay Undertale after beating Undertale Yellow, and just the best way to experience the game after so long in general thanks to it's ton of new features- like the Mad Mew Mew fight being added, being able to sprint, and being able to see Frisk in all the equippable armors visually.

OneTale: This one is a bit different, as it's a crossover mod based on the indie video game "OneShot", which replaces Frisk with Niko, the game's main character. While you'd think it would simply be a reskin, it isn't- the entire game is rewritten around this change, with Niko being a much more active character. I can't exactly "recommend" this if you haven't played OneShot, but if you have? You'll absolutely love it, I promise.

DELTARUNE FANGAMES

Deltatraveler: This is easily the most popular Deltarune fangame, and for good reason- the effort put into it is insane. In case you didn't already know, it's a crossover fangame built on the premise of Kris, Noelle, and Susie getting lost in alternate worlds after Berdly successfully created a Dark Fountain despite Ralsei's attempts to stop him, and them now having to get home. The game has three finished chapters so far, going in a cycle of the trio going from Undertale AU > to Crossover > to Undertale AU, and so on. The first chapter has Kris & Susie going through the Ruins of Undertale, the second has them now with Noelle in Earthbound, and the third puts them in Underfell's Snowdin. My most major complaint about the game is that a lot of "Deltarune Brainrot" humor is shoehorned in (including a joke that is continuously repeated that forces me to slap a drugs tw on the whole game in it's current form), which can take you out of the experience, but the story and boss fights are still good enough for me to enjoy it. It also has it's own Weird/Genocide Route, but I consider it a bit too dark for my tastes to pursue (up to preference). It's currently receiving a major rewrite because of the new chapters, so there won't be completely new content for a while, but I still consider the fangame worth playing right now.
