I know some people are bitching about “ohhhh all the other Loki’s are much more powerful than our Loki!!”, but actually, I think the series is going the right way about it.
We all know Loki’s powers have been severely under-utilised in his movie appearances, so for him to turn up in the TV show suddenly using a whole new arsenal of magic powers we’ve never actually seen him use before would be kinda confusing to most viewers. Most people watching these shows and films aren’t reading the comics too, so why is the stabby guy suddenly this all-powerful sorcerer when he never used to be?
Having Loki encounter other Loki’s, seeing what they can do, discovering he can do that too and that he’s more powerful than he realises - that’s a good way of addressing it, I think.
Loki has never lived up to his potential. In this series alone, his mother told him he could do anything, Mobius told him he could be whatever he wanted, Sylvie and Classic Loki have shown him some of what he’s capable of. Loki discovering and enhancing his true powers while surrounded by people who actually give a shit about him? I’m totally here for that.
