Hey! I was very inspired by your Midnight series, and the concept you have for the half fae/ half human scar. I was wondering if it would be okay to include some of the elements you used for that character for an original story i am working on. Just the functions of how like, the half human/ half fae-ness works? If you want me to clarify thats okay lol.

Hi!! I don't mind at all. The way I see it, I don't own concepts; as long as people don't copy my story word for word or beat for beat/plot for plot I don't mind people taking inspiration or using general concepts. Hi! Midnight is definitely not abandoned, there's a bit of burnout involved plus a busy life (I'm back in school fulltime which doesn't leave me a lot of brainspace for serious writing) that's sort of hit a wall, but I just went on hiatus for a bit (you can ask the Vault, I kinda sorta dropped off the face of the earth for a few months and have only in the last couple months crawled back into the world jhgfdjk). And yeah "a bit" is more like... a year... but the way I see it, it's better to wait until I'm excited to write than to try and force it.

Thanks for your ask! I promise it's definitely not abandoned, I just needed an extended break <3

North Durham Mutual Aid is reaching out.

Eastern Kentucky Mutual Aid is also reaching out for funds. There looks like there might be two orgs with similar names, but if so both are helping. There's a fund for relief in Erwin, Tennessee

Helbender Harm Reduction is collecting physical supplies in Knoxville alongside First Aid Collective Knoxille, whose Cashapp/Venmo is: $firstaidcollectknox. If you're nearby they're looking for clothes, blankets, shelf stable food, rain gear, flashlights, and batteries, which is what most other groups asking for supplies are looking at too.

The TriCities Mutual Aid group is mostly asking for volunteers and supplies in the Tennessee/Virginia area. However, they may shift to donations, and you can reach out to them to see if they would be welcome either way.

Food Not Bombs Tallahassee has a cashapp: $fnbtally2022. They and Mutual Aid Athens are also boosting any community calls for funds, labor, or supplies in various states on their Instagram pages

A friend of mine, Vyn, is asking for help since he'll be out of power for around a week in Southeast GA

Other physical supplies people will be looking for in flood impacted areas include:

bottled water, potentially water filters

personal hygiene items: wipes, camping showers, tampons/pads/other menstrual products, handsanitizer, mosquito spray, laundry detergent, washboards, toilet paper, diapers, and especially any products safe for sensitive skin

medications- ibuprofen, monistat and other meds for yeast infections, cold and cough meds, any diabetic meds that can be safely shared, etc

individually wrapped low or no prep food items, baby formula, and Gatorade

duffel bags, backpacks, heavy duty storage totes and trash bags, 5 gallon buckets, coolers

Fans, dehumidifiers, moisture sensors, generators, gas and gas cans, solar charging items and battery banks, first aid kits

chainsaws, crowbars, hammers, air filters, respirators, 2×4 planks, bleach, roofing nails, heavy duty gloves, and potentially waders.

and board games or other non electric activities for children

Double check if you can before you donate these items to make sure whatever local drive you're headed to wants them and can distribute the more specialized ones where they're needed

And please! Add any funds you know of, especially for South Carolina and North Georgia since I wasn't seeing many funds for those areas! I know South Carolina is in desperate need and there's definitely parts of North Georgia in need too. Atlanta saw some bad flooding so keep an eye for them too!

Finally almost caught up on midnight, Atherix somehow every time I return to this story I love it even more. The thought and care put into every single work is incredible, and the emotion you're able to convey is so so beautiful. This is such an incredible piece of writing and I hold it so close to my heart. I can't wait to see how everything is painted moving forward:D

currently rereading the midnight series and goshh i just feel the need to say how insane it makes me!!!

ive never been this invested in a story and i just wanted to quickly thank you for putting it out there and for the work youve done, i am being very very genuine when i say its my favourite piece of writing to exist

the ammount of hits im catching towards things that happen later on in the story that i didnt catch the first or the second time i reread it

AGHHHH its just so so so good and im in such awe of how thought out it all is genuinely thank you for sharing all of that with the internet it changed me as a person and ill never be the same i think

(also i keep ending up listening to hozier while reading it and i think i just associate hozier with the series at this point)

(also also while rereading midnight alley the convo between mumbo and tubbo made me SOOOOO sad with the context of midnight breaks....oh my god when i get you)

i really like your writing and the midnight series has taken up a whole sector of my brain to live in; it’s constantly rotating around in there. and also the song Wild I Am by Vocal Few has midnight!Scar vibes i think. young m!scar. yeah it’s been rotating in my head so much I’m hearing the characters in songs

Have you ever explained the lore of hostle mob hybrids in Midnight?

I think I've touched on it! At the very least I've touched on Zombies (a disease) and Skeletons (a curse). I haven't really gone into any of the others, but most of the overworld hostile mobs are the result of an Ancient (or First Ones') disaster. Endermen used to be humans who went to the End when the portals were discovered, and they were irreversibly changed by the realm itself, and piglins were pig hybrids who escaped into the nether during a time when hybrids were viewed as nothing more than mutated beasts (think the times when Avians' feathers would be plucked for decorations). If you have any questions about specific mobs tho I'm happy to answer! <3

Hello, I am here to inform you that I’ve been attempting to recreate the Midnight Alley and tunnels to Icaria in Minecraft for the last week or so and it’s going well!

So far I have the bridges area mostly done, the tunnels our boys fell into, and the generic outline of the alley itself. I’m working on the tunnels and walls of the cavern next :)

(If you wanna see pictures or progress updates or even give feedback on my design choices let me know!)

!! Omg I would love to see it!!! That is so exciting I hadn't considered someone would want to recreate the Alley and tunnels. The bridges are such cool imagery I think so this is very exciting :) I'd love to see anything you've created!
