Why do people say vampires find blood tasty?

Vampires may need blood to survive, but that doesn’t mean they like blood. Perhaps Blood is like vegetables to vampires and garlic is tasty but unhealthy sweets?

I’m just imagining parent vampire trying to convince their five year old vampire child to drink the blood and be like “you can have some garlic AFTER you drink your blood.”

Common misconceptions about supernatural races

1. Vampires can not be killed just by being near garlic, they are in fact simply born being allergic to it like a human may be allergic to nuts, however this also means that too much garlic consumed can be deadly unless they drink the blood of a corrupt individual.

2. Werewolves are actually not inherently aggressive whenever they are transformed, They are instead simply disoriented from transforming since the transformation causes their senses to be very sensitive at first. If you use unscented spray on yourself then you can help soothe them through their overwhelmed state. This usually causes them to be quite attached to you though so be wary unless you wanna accidentally adopt a werewolf

3. Zombies are dead, therefore they cannot be burnt to death as their bones will remain even if their flesh is burnt away. DON’T TRY TO RUN UP TO ONE WITH A TORCH! Torrick this is directed at you, just because you are a strong sorcerer it does not mean that you can defeat everything by charring them with a fire spell.

So in dnd green men will not often become friends even with elves because they live so long that it would be just a short thing not worth the effort.

So imagine that one day a sweet old grandma starts watering plants at the edge of the forest daily and telling stories to the flowers and everything and the green man that is the guardian of that forest notices but doesn’t think about it much because that grandma will likely be gone soon.

But hundreds of years pass.. and the grandma is still there so the Green man eventually accepts her as a friend, and years keep passing and she is still there, sometimes over the years her voice will sound a bit different. But the grandma always laughs it off as old age messing with her voice. Other times she’ll forget things that happened in the past, which is to be expected with how old she is. And sometimes she’ll have a darker or paler skin tone, which she just explains as being extra tan by the sun or spending more time inside.

What the green man doesn’t know is that the actual grandma died years ago and she simply instructed the villagers to start a tradition of pretending to be her after she died so that the green man could have a friend that wouldn’t be outlived by him and fade into distant memories.
