Had the humble opportunity to spend Mother's Day lunch with some very special people called family. Family always comes first. Getting to spend the afternoon with my Uncle's, Aunties and Couz is always interesting, fun, humorous and always an absolute pleasure. Unfortunately I wasn't able to have my boys with me this weekend but I'll have the opportunity to spend time with them over the next couple weekends. My Mum has supported me and my boys unconditionally throughout years and now with Jade joining the family, I have no doubt that she'll do the same for Jade. Getting to share quality time with my family and with the two most important women in my life is an absolute blessing. Stick Mobility workshop day 2 has been a confirmation of some of my own known gaps in my fitness. Stick Mobility is movement made better. I definitely have increased body awareness just front the 2 days of participating in the workshop. My coordination, strength and posture have all improved. I do have some limitations in my joint range of motion. I'm fairly stable with room for improvement. I definitely have an increase of neuromuscular motor control with also done areas to improve but that's the whole point. This Stick Mobility system is so awesome it can self regulate and self limiting while improving all my mobility gaps. Loved the course content, loved the presetting by Nat our facilitator for the 2 days (a ¼ turn, a ¼ turn 😉) Now looking forward to helping my client's mobility and including improving my own mobility so I can move better as I get older. I'd definitely recommend anyone to attend the workshop if you were trying to decide to or not. Day 1 of today's Stick Mobility Level 1 workshop. It was definitely a challenging day today and highlighted some gaps in my mobility but opportunities to improve my strength, flexibility and control of this 105yo body that I have (even though I may appear younger visually) using these orange coloured sticks (my 🍊 baby Jayden's favourite colour, if nobody knew that) has been a really challenging and rewarding experience. Can't wait for day 2 workshop tmrw. Everybody has been so positive and welcoming and Nat the owner of Mind Body Heart studio is hella funny but so strong and flexible at the same time, it's been impressive to say the least. Honestly my life is not that exciting that people have to assume what is happening in my life. I'm choosing to respond because apparently I shouldn't post things that people might assume something about me? Why assume in the first place. Are my posts that cryptic? I have a very dry, sarcastic sense of humour and if anybody knows anything about me I'll make fun of myself before anybody else. My social media profile is public. I've nothing that is so exciting in my life that I need to post to clarify what I post. I'm careful in what I post because I know it can be misunderstood but I have children and I know how it may impact them if I post something that their friends may misinterpret or their parents may misunderstand But I've never responded to any rant posts directed at me online because I know the truth and my boys know the truth so I don't feel like I have to explain that to anybody because I know those posts are posted to try and get a response from me and I'll never do that because if it ain't true, I'll know it ain't true and that's all that matters. If anybody wants to know what's the truth about me, all they have to do is ask, just ask me and I'll tell them. My life is not a reality tv show so I'm not posting anything to get replies, reactions or cause grief to my boys. I'm always actually thinking of them when I do post something online so I don't post anything that I think will put them in harm's way. There's lots that I don't post because I know it'll just cause conflict between my boys and their mothers towards myself. I don't need that type of drama so I don't post. So if you feel like you need to assume and gossip about me, be respectful and ask me directly. Somebody commented to me that I was unhealthy cause my body fat% was perceived to be too low based on their own perceived assumption. Yes my body fat is low but since I became a trainer this is normally how I am all year round. I don't starve myself, I eat pretty well (though I'm eating a lot of eggs atm and I mean a lot). I eat when I want to, which is usually all the time but I choose to eat what I've learnt and perceive to be good healthy food. I always read food labels because product marketing can be misleading. For a 44 year old, I think I'm doing ok. I don't know everything nor do I try to portray that I do. I'm constantly learning and evolving as a person mentally, physically and spiritually. I chose to be a better person because I wanted to for myself and for my kids sake and not because anyone else wanted me to be a certain way.
