Mikasa being an ackerman (spoiler)

So I finally rewatched SNK ( The Movie who is just the episodes together) and I noticed something

As Mikasa wanted to give up her life, she couldn’t, her body even moved by her own, she couldn’t controll it, in the anime you can clearly see something like a heartbeat. So after all we know I think this was her “Ackerman”-genes/dna/etc. Same time you see a pomegranate. This apple symbolic is known for “Life”, “Might”, “Blood and death” and even for ecclesia. Ecclesia means “the called out”, but not only that, they got called out to help in the name of god the poor.

So what my thoughts about this are:

The Ackerman blood have one function: To survive, all the might and skills they got, they are only here to survive. The pomegranate tells us about the Blood, the life (Ackerman have to live! No matter if they want to die), might, to success this goal they are strong, even able to heal so much faster than other humans, and then “blood and death”. Maybe if all ackerman would die and so the bloodline too, humanity would die.

So they are elected to save humanity.

My OTP headcanon is now that Petra sew him the shirt to a cravat. But maybe he did all by himself. I can definitely picture Levi knowing stuff like sewing and cooking.

I´m still very touched by this “wear your mother´s blouse thing” and by seeing Levi wearing it during his childhood with Kenny, I´m curious about where it is rn?

Then I remembered this cravat he’s always wearing and saw some similarities with the neck-line of the blouse and the cravat, isn’t it kinda obvious that it´s him/or someone else sewing it to a cravat. And he´s kinda always fixing it in place, and refitting it. It´s really cute ;3

I agree until to a certain point: RBA wasn’t controlled like Frieda. But definitely controlled. Maybe their parents. Their village. Berthold shouted: “Who likes to do stuff like this”, and Annie even refereed the insides of the wall as her “hiding place”.  While Reiner and Berthold were excited going back, Annie never left any kind of excitement going through. Maybe it is at that point something religious? Like the Wall-worshipper they got raised that this wall is something made from the devil himself? Or maybe the titans that are used for the wall were from the villagers? In any case, I doubt what they did was their own idea

Hi! I'm not sure if anyone's talked about this or not but do you think that maybe reiner/berthold/annie's case are the same as that whole reiss family passing down the power and being controlled by the first king's memories? it gets you thinking about what if they're also being controlled by whoever their ancestors are which sorta led me thinking what if their ancestors are the ones who created titans in the first place so that's why they came to destroy what's left of humanity

A fun fact from recent chapters is that two of the serums in Rod’s medicine bag were labelled ”Strongest Normal” and “Armored Braun”. Reiner’s name on the bottle is most intriguing. But it’s a case of what came first - Did Reiner become a “Braun” when he was injected, or does his family have a connection to the serum?

If it’s the latter, it could be that they pass down the ability in a Reiss-like fashion. But since a “Braun” formula exists, does that also mean the Reiss memory ability could be bottled and shared with others? It’s all speculation at this point.

You ask if the RBA is also being controlled by an external power. It’s worth thinking about, but at this point I hesitantly say no. Reiner, Bertolt and Annie appear to have autonomy. Their emotions and their speech is their own. We can compare that with Frieda who was clearly possessed by an external force. 

The Reiss family continues the First King’s vision of peace. I’m beyond confused about what this “peace” is. Uri knew humanity was doomed, but he hoped to save a few. The shifters (including Ymir) had the same knowledge. They all agreed at one point that there was no future in the walls. 

So how did these people from outside the walls know this? Was RBA fulfilling the First King’s will by destroying the Wall? Or were they opposing it? Since we don’t know their true motivation, arguments can be made both ways. I get into circular thinking about all of it. 

My instinct is that their motivation is different. They are Warriors. They hate humanity. Bert called them “children of the Devil”. But why? Is it their people enslaved within the walls? Are the Walls built on their stolen land? Are they trying to prevent a greater tragedy? I look forward to the answers.

Parallels: Mikasa vs Levi Ackerman          ↳ I….can’t be…someone’s parent…

Mikasa killed someone, but she got a family, place to call home. Levi did the same and got abandonded. Maybe Levi felt long time like it was his fault, he was doing something wrong, and than he started to hate Kenny, but hate is just failed love so maybe this is the reason by their first encounter after years Levis face showed only rage and hate instead of fear or surprise. "You asshole forced me to do this, you asshole left me"

This wasn’t straight the point I wanted to say with this post: More like: What if Eren isn’t a Reiss but an Ackermann? What if Reiss and Ackermann even are from the same Bloodline. Ackermann is German for a Men who works on the Field and Reis(s) is the German word for Rice, I know I’m digging way to deep but it is a thought I had back then.

At first I thought its because there are TWO serums in it, but now? Did it have on Historias one too? Maybe it is because thats a mindless titan serum? Kinda like: The first transition wasn’t complete so put down the next needle. You know...like the doctors they can’t properly draw blood

Do you think the next chapter would have a conflict between Eren and his friends if they want Eren to eat Annie to see her memories or one of them takes the serum and eats Annie to turn into a titan shifter? Idk I just feel Annie is gonna be mention.

Maybe not next chapter. We’re entering a new arc and if that were to be an issue to be addressed, it would take some time to be fully explored. There’s also the possibility of a potential POV shift or time shift for the next arc as there is residual politics in the walls to skim over and the issue of what Historia will do with her monarchy. 

As for eating Annie…hmm. I’m not so sure that anyone would be so gung-ho as to eat her. The same with turning into a shifter.

For one, Eren now has hardening abilities and the idea that he has the coordinate power. I can see the scouting legion trying to use those abilities in conjunction to release Annie and then have Historia touch her to see her memories. In that situation, there would be no need to use the serum. It also would account for the fact that there must be a way to get Annie out alive. There would have be little purpose to keeping Annie alive for so long if someone were to eat her immediately. 

Something else to consider is that turning into a shifter is a very dangerous and largely unknown process to humanity. There are a lot of unknown variables that they would deal with. For example, I’ve noticed that fandom has suggested Erwin or Levi become the next shifter, but we don’t know how the process really affects adults. There’s a reason that most of the shifters we’ve come across are young and were injected when they were children. Of the two adult shifters we’ve had, Grisha allowed himself to be eaten by his child son immediately for some reason and with Rod, he took the serum incorrectly, but at first, he didn’t want to turn into a shifter. Now this could be more that Rod felt that it was his duty to worship God and not to be God, but it’s still something to take into consideration. 

Personally I feel that the the serum would be used for research purposes. They also have the perfect test subject to try to work something out with—Connie’s mother. That said, it is rather interesting that there are two needles in the serum case. 

That implies that there is enough serum for two injections…probably enough for them to do research with and to fully test out….

Favorite SNK Moments: Frieda Reiss

Only one panel, one little memory of Eren as Frieda and here we are. Why does he remember this scene of all things Frieda got through? Her expression is surprised, is someone talking to her? Appeared someone surprisingly? What was it that this scene even broke through the ‘only bloodline reiss thing’ that Eren remembers this?

Favorite SNK Moments: Erwin Smith

After Erwins creepy smile as he heard that all titans are human he lost some points. It was creepy, dark, and I saw him as the true enemy of mankind. But with this action he got me back. Maybe the whole court scene is my favorite of the whole story (Until now!) So much intrigue, manipulation and scheming in just one scene. Erwin overthrows the government.

So what’s about this smile? Was he thinking it’s not gonna work? Or did exactly everything worked the way he wanted? I can’t describe it but until this scene I underestimated him.

He manipulates on a level you don’t need any coordinate. After all he is a big mystery for me and I can’t still trust him.

A guy with such a great skill... what’s his real plan?

I doubt to revenge his fathers dignity.

Favorite SNK moments: Eren Jäger

My heart bleeds, my eyes get wet when I start to think about the newest, and last scene of Chapter 66.

Since we read, Eren believed: In his team, on Armin, on pixiv, on Levis Squad, into the Survey cops, despite everyone believed in him, he never did. He never ever did. All the time, shouting he will kill all the titans, wanting to go outside the wall, this weren't his words. This was the words of armin, of humanity. He even told Historia that this isn't all he wanted.

Eren is a frightened child, carrying already a lot of stuff you have as teenager, in this time you try to find yourself, thinking about what you really want. Start to sort things out. But he can't. He has to do. He has to do and to do and to do. And everytime he hesitated and had a chance that someone other is doing it for him something terrible happend.

And now, the end is comming, just once. Just one time he want to believe in himself.

Probably in his mind that this will be the last thing he can think before everyone and himself dies.

"For the very last time... please let me believe in myself."

« For the last time »  for me this sounds Eren is giving up to get out alive this time. « Just once, just once, let me believe that I can save everyone. »

Favorite SNK Moments: Dot Pixis

"Hey. Just chill. This boy can transform himself to a titan and eat everyone and kill everyone and we don't stand a fuckin chance against him but HEY. Let's use his power to defend us."

If this isn't the coolest appearance ever I don't know which one it is.

Instead of being frightened by such a power he really see's the chance to change something in this world. Probably THIS, and only THIS made Erwin believe in Pixis and entrust him with the plan to dash against the government. Pixis want to change something in the world. He want to save humanity and he makes his clear, with every step, with every appearance, every time he have him in a panel we see such a good man he is.

I am terrified when Isayama will show us his dark side...
