You never really knew what loss was.

Well, you had an idea of it. It's losing someone close to you, someone you love and cherish. However, that concept was just hard for you to grasp, because you, yourself had never experienced it.

That was until Neteyam—

Until Neteyam was murdered.

You can no longer close your eyes. When you do, the blackness fades, and all you can see is him convulsing in pain. His eyes rolling into the back of his head.. with that look on his face.

The look of fear followed helplessness, the look of not knowing what comes after this. You saw in his flickering amber eyes, and how he tried so hard to fight the inevitable.

To say it broke your heart was an understatement. Because there will never be a word that would come close to describing your state of mind that night.

A rippling wave of guilt overcomes you daily. Your thoughts run wild with pain and shame.

Could I have stopped it?

I can't get the sound of his screams out of my head. It just replays. Over, and over, and over..

My.. fault..

It was my fault, I didn't save him in time.

It should've been me instead.

It should have been me.

I should've died.

I deserve to die.

My fault.

My fault.

Mine.

I am pretty new to the avatar fandom, and by that I mean to the writing part for it — though I have witnessed many many amazing writers who have gone and are currently going through an extreme writer’s block — and I just wanted to say I truly hope you do not strain yourself so much on it !!

Take some time to yourself, distract that artistic mind of yours with other things !! When the time comes, you will feel the ambition and motivation you desire when it comes to writing !!! I believe in you!!! Stay hydrated, stay healthy, sleep, do other things that make you happy — and if your day is not going very well, try to see at least one good thing within the day !!!

Yk who we should be talking about? The people here now. The people who are writing, working, drawing, editing, tweeting, and keeping the fandom alive.

Despite being less active, I don’t think any fandom is ‘dead’ less there’s absolutely no one that cares anymore.

Let’s be honest. People loose interest. People start to find the fandoms and movies and shows and books and hyper fixations they prefer, that’s okay!

And trust me ya’ll. I’m one to talk. I’m a certified fandom hopper. This is my-

But the point is the people now who are creating in this fandom are getting way less attention than they would have back in December-March but we’re here anyways.

I’m not trying to be hostile, or mean, but can we understand that we’re still going? Through all these delays, through all these new announcements.

And let’s look on the brighter side? We now have frontiers of pandora, those new deleted scenes, and possibly more books coming? Did I mention that so’lek comic coming out this month?

Hello everyone! <3 I know I've been dead in terms of posting, I haven't had any inspiration for awhile but I've finally got some fics in the works, that hopefully will be out soon.

I do have some good news though. I want to branch out with my writing, and write for other fandoms (don't worry, I'll still write for Avatar! And it's STILL the love of my life).

But I'm thinking Resident Evil, Hunger Games - the trilogy, as well as the newest movie, and others. I've been in love with Resident Evil since I was a kid, sooo how can I not write for it?? Same with the Hunger Games. It forever has my heart, I've read all of the books, and seen the movies 🩷

For while I've wanted to write for other fandoms but I didn't in fear of losing followers, and I was scared nobody would be interested in them— so please be honest here, I won't be mad no matter your answer LOL😭
