*clasps hands together* so i realize there were uh... 4 months where i made no art at all. but you know what? that’s fine. i’m going easy on myself for 2020 because of circumstances

despite that, i was pretty happy with most art i was making in the times that i Was making art. and more importantly, i found myself enjoying art a lot more again once i started up again in july. and i did some style experimentation which resulted in a few pieces that i really liked

i’ve got some personal art goals for 2021, but the most important one is that no matter what i am making that i make i enjoy myself. and if other people like it then thats great too

#art summary #art summery 2020 #2020 #meme #art meme #i want to feel the way i did when i made art as a teenager #i made it for myself and i was happy #even if my work wasnt super great #i think as time went on i got so focused on numbers that #when a piece didnt perform well i took it very personally #which got me drawing things that i assumed other people wanted to see #and when that didnt go over well i would be devastated #i ended up feeling so nervous about showing my work #because i was convinced that i wasnt good enough #and that my work was embarrassing and made others embarrassed when they saw it #i made myself so miserable with creating that it made my work suffer #it was the reason i decided to start fresh #and while yes i dont have the following i used to #i feel like i can do what i like without the pressure #i appreciate everyone who has followed me since then tho #and every nice comment you all leave in the notes #thank you so much #hoping for the best for 2021 #maybe i'll be less afraid to share things #also i thought i didnt have anything for october because i was moving #but remembered i painted a box so #october is the only traditional art lmao

#pokemon #peony #trainer peony #pokemon sword and shield #pokemon swsh #fanart #december #2020 #this is technically the last drawing of 2020 #but also the first drawing of 2021 #cause this took me too long for some reason #im not very good with flowers and well #coloring them took way longer than necessary #cause i got confused by my lineart oops #i just wanted to draw peony surrounded by peonies okaaaaaay #i have so many feelings about this character i wanted to do my best drawing him #i love good dad characters i love them so much #ive been modeling for my own photo references lately and oh boy #i know its just for the pose but #its difficult to see my body type and draw a different body type looking at me #cause i have short limbs and have to mentally stretch everythign #anyway personally feel like i did a good job on this #not the flowers so much but he looks good #not bad for last piece of the decade #looking forward to a new decade of improvement #and hopefully can continue to make art fun for myself again
