Taking good pictures in game is more difficult than I thought.

I've been building in the Sims 3. The lot I'm working on at the moment is heavily inspired by the Foundry and thought it might be fun to share some progress pictures. And then I realized I suck at it. 😂 So I grabbed my version of Crispin and tried to see if live mode was better... and just ended up taking pics of him. I thought they turned out!

I'll try to take some wip pics of the actual build here soon. Also I love this last one. This game cracks me up.

The final Urbz inspired playlist.

This last playlist leans more into r&b and pop. Cozmo Street seemed all about good times and nights out with friends, so I added some tracks that gave that sort of feeling. Also, there's a healthy amount of Black Eyed Peas, since they were a big influence for the district and its radio station.

This has been a nice little project for the past few months, and its been a great experience exploring different genres of music. I hope these playlists have provided a bit of nostalgia for the game we are so fond of. 😊

Naturally, everyone’s favorite “Misery Chick” has been dragged out to be my inaugural download for Project Lawndale (link also provided in sidebar, at least with the current theme)… though I can’t promise I’ll finish the entire project as planned, at least you guys will have this sim!

Daria is created as a teen, as will be all the other students at Lawndale High, and as such, she’s sculpted to look good both in her current form and as a Young Adult (as seen in the CAS room preview picture).

As you may know the Data Bill is currently going through UK parliament, and Conservative amendment would force agencies to record sex/gender as birth sex only. As if this doesn't go far enough to humiliate and discriminate against trans and intersex people, this amendment would also require all state agencies (DVLA, Passport Office, etc) to revert and purge all sex data that doesn't correspond to sex at birth within 12 months. This would mean that trans people with corrected documents could see these being voided and replaced, leaving them open to being outed, discriminated against, and in many cases, putting their lives at risk. T*rf organisations like S*x Matters have already mobilised and are encouraging their flying monkeys...I mean supporters to email their MPs about this bill. While it is unlikely that it will go through (Nadia Whittome received assurances that it will be voted down by the government), the support it receives has a high chance of encouraging Labour to put a similar amendment through in the future. We need to show that we stand together as a community against this. It's probably safe to say that almost everyone here knows and loves a trans and/or intersex person, or in fact is a trans and/or intersex person. Rights are at risk. We can't just say we love and support our trans siblings, we need to take action. Write to your MP and tell them why this bill is wrong and that trans people MUST be protected and supported.

Please do not be rude to your MP or send them verbal abuse (even if it's tempting). This is not the time for that. Use clear, polite and firm language to make your point. As a community, we must be mindful of how we approach this, as lives are at stake. While you are writing about this issue, please also consider mentioning the detrimental effect the Supreme Court ruling has had. Many trans people find themselves banned from public bathrooms all together as organisations struggle to meet the unrealistic aims of the EHRC. On the 6th of May 1933, the Nazis looted the Institute of Sexology. Do not let them do this in 2025.

After a second glance through the playlist, I removed some tracks that were a little too contemporary or didn’t fit in as well as I originally thought. Still adding to it but I think it’s much more cohesive now. 😊

I’ve decided to leave the more contemporary and pop inspired songs for Cozmo Street, but there’s a ton of crossover. I almost thought about combining the two, but they are distinct districts in game, so I thought it fair to have a playlist for each.

Just noticed that Neo's CAS / Fashion shop model is different from his in-game model, which is quite weird. Most noticeable difference is that his CAS model's nose isn't as big. In-game Neo's nose is big enough to clip through his glasses, this doesn't happen with his CAS model. His brows seem to be shaped different too, among other smaller differences.

This seems to apply to many characters, as Genghis' models have the same peculiar differences. His in-game model has a rounder face, bigger [bottom] lip, and a much bigger (albeit flatter) nose than his CAS model.

The same thing also applies to Kiki Blunt's model. Her CAS model has a totally different face -- different eyes, different jaw, different brows, different makeup, no mole.

I wonder what's with the inconsistencies of the models? I understand to an extent how it happened with the renders, as the renders were likely made earlier. Were the CAS models also made earlier, yet never updated to match their current models?

What's really interesting about this is that despite them being different models, the CAS model still manages to wear the same clothes as the in-game model if the latter changes its outfit.

Hey again! I know you have posted close up images of most of the urbz, did you have any of the other villains? I know you don’t get to see them in cas so it’s not as easy as Kiki.

Whilst I don't have any in-game screenshots of them, I did create a quick render of their models in Blender! (Since whilst the Urb District premades don't have unique models, all the NPCs -- including the villains -- have their own models within the files)

Just threw on the CAS Idle pose on them to quickly show off what they look like.

Close-ups of their faces + an extra hiding Harry's hair so you can see his features better.

I'll try to get pix of them in-game later to see if these reflect their in-game models (tho it does appear they're using a low-res skin texture, which is likely indeed their in-game appearances) just because I notice that Urangoo looks vastly different from his official render model (Wh ich Urbz typically do, but still!)
