Ava’s Melodies is back!

For those who are new to the fandom:

Ava’s Melodies was created to be a place for the more musically-inclined fans of Ava’s Demon, who wish to be a part of a community of voice actors and singers just like them! The goal is to get wonderful voices out there and well-known under the guise of their favorite characters.  

Songs may be rewritten as inspired by the characters, or performed simply as they are. Original songs are highly encouraged to be created by our voice actors, as well, but certainly not required.

The main goal, of course, is to have fun! The majority of voice actors participating are amateur and it is considered to be a great learning experience for them. This is a low-pressure, minimal activity group that will require cast members to check in only once every other week, and post at least one song every month. They are, of course, allowed to do more if they wish.

Ava’s Melodies is back!

As of today, Ava’s Melodies is open for auditions!

We apologize for the extended wait. Several tweaks have been made to the blog and as to how we run it. We ask that you check our FAQ, audition, and cast rules pages to further understand the new changes.

We are officially re-opening every character role for auditions! That means Ava, Maggie, Wrathia, Crow, Raven, Gil, and Nevy are all open once again as well as the characters who were not previously cast. 

We are also changing some activity rules for cast members. Each member, unless they have extenuating circumstances, will be expected to make a new song each month (i.e., one post in June, one post in July), rather than our former rule of your post being one month from your most recent. Technically, you could make a post June 1 and July 30th, as long as they are both within their respective months. 

Discord and active communication are now requirements. We expect our cast members to respond to mods, and asks on their blogs, in a timely manner. If we notice a lack of communication, the individual will be placed on a probation and will be required to check in with the mods at a regularly scheduled time until further notice. We are more than willing to work around an individual’s personal schedule.

Is this project going to continue ?

Unfortunately, this blog will be on hiatus until further notice! Both mods have been super busy with college, work, and life and have had to put projects like this on the back burner. We do hope to reopen it in the future, but we don’t know when that will be. Thank you all for sticking with us so far! We do apologize for the silence!

If we are auditioning, do we have to use a song from the spreadsheet or can we choose a song we want to sing?

You can choose any song you want to sing!  The songs in the spreadsheet are only suggestions. (:

As a sidenote, we are not open for auditions right now.  The link on the Auditions page is a placeholder right now, and any auditions submitted through it will go into a void.  Please wait until we announce that auditions are open!

Announcement.

Over the holiday break, it has been decided that a lot of changes are going to be made. We will be closing down the blog during our construction period to make the necessary edits to our rules, theme, and more.  The capabilities and attitudes of the way we approach the blogs will be changed.

We are officially re-opening every character role for auditions. That means Ava, Maggie, Wrathia, Crow, Raven, Gil, and Nevy are all open once again as well as the characters who were not previously cast.  We expect the blog to re-open for auditions and questions some time in January. 

It has been hinted that more important characters may be introduced shortly in the comic, so when this occurs, we will definitely be adding them to the cast list as well. Audition deadlines will be announced per character as we receive at least 3 auditions for a role.

We are also changing some activity rules for cast members. Our lyrics blog, @avasmelodies-lyrics​, will be converted into a submissions blog!  Anyone will be able to send in lyrics, and we will no longer be receiving auditions for lyricists.  Thank you to everyone who participated as lyricists, but now the whole fandom will be able to do that job!

Yes, auditions for Odin are still open though we will not be casting any new members until the comic’s hiatus is over. Feel free to send in auditions, as we are still accepting auditions for open roles at this time.
