My laptop

This is very embarrassing for me, i am aware there are people out there with much more important needs like food, getting out of abusive homes and so many other reasons, but im kinda scared and I have to ask for help.

I've been creating custom content for sims since 2018? I think it's 2018. And i have this same laptop since 2015, it has handled things very well, but it started to tear itself apart last year, since them, it has been glued to stay open and solid:

I already have an income, but it goes all to food, Healthcare, ADHD/depression meds, college and minor things. So I'll just reinforce my ko-fi page here. Laptops aren't cheap right now, but i really have no choice. I cant wait. If i stop making cc, ill lose patrons and then i won't be able to help my family or pay for my meds and college.

anyone else feel physically and viscerally sick at the news about chadwick boseman, i literally am shaking with an overwhelming amount of emotion. i just. i can’t believe he’s really gone. i can’t believe he’s been battling this for 4 years. in 2018 when we all thought he was on the top of the world, black panther was out and he was untouchable, he was dealing with advanced stage cancer. fucking hell. this doesn’t feel real.

Dillon Alexander Williams went to Kings Island with me and my mother Melanie Dean but is now nowhere to be found. Last time I saw him was at the Build a Bear in Kings Island and he seemed completely fine. After hours of security searching they discovered my husband was no longer in the park and hadn’t been since 11 am. He was seen on camera walking out of the park, through the Soak City parking lot and out towards the Sunoco on the other side of the street.

He was last seen wearing black jeans, pink converse, a red and black Deadpool letterman jacket and a Marie the cat beanie like in the pictures I’ve provided.

I’ve been asking around and no one has seen him. This is legitimately the most terrifying thing I’ve ever experienced in my life, please, if you have ANY info call the Mason PD or send me a PM on here. I just want my husband home.

tl;dr: i injured my wrist and i need help paying for rent as i am unable to work >:( 

longer story: hello i’m alex, i’m a mexican immigrant and a woc lesbian! ever since i moved out of my homophobic parents’ home four years ago i’ve supported myself exclusively through my art online as i am unable to work legally in the US. three months ago i moved to new york from florida seeking an safer environment for immigrants as well as to fulfill everyone’s lifelong artist dream. it’s been ridiculously hard financially (hello, doubling rent) but i’m so much happier than i ever was in the south ✌🏽

i’ve dealt with undiagnosed chronic joint and tendon pain on my knees for several years now. four months ago it started spreading to my ankles, feet and wrists. carrying and moving furniture and heavy boxes during my move heavily exacerbated my wrist pain to the point where for the past two months i’ve been unable to draw for more than a couple of hours a day without pain. i don’t have the means to seek out a specialist, but through my research i’m pretty sure i’ve injured my ECU tendon on my wrist and the only advice i could find were supplements, rest, or surgery (but that’s another can of worms entirely.)

usually i would open commissions once a month, but i am already late with work from september and october, and i simply cannot afford to take on more commissions for the time being. my rent is $1100, plus i still need to like, eat and buy cat food.

I need your help.

I’m going to be honest, I’m not happy to have to make this plea for help but currently, I find myself with no choice.

Recently, I got into an accident that, thankfully, was a minor one that I got out of with nothing more than a fracture in my Achilles and a mild concussion. Unfortunately, the US Healthcare system is a piece of shit and my bill is still stupid high. 

I currently work as a paid intern and tutor on the side. However, the majority of my income goes towards rent and other necessities like food and meds. The other bit I have left goes to paying for classes I’m paying for a my local college to fill pre-requisites. I am looking to transfer this year to a college with a good Computer Science program but with college applications soon and fees to pay for those, I can’t afford to pay my bill. 

So, I have decided to reach out to you all and offer what I can in return for some help. Rather than opening commissions which I wouldn’t be able to do due to a lack of motivation and writer’s block that has plagued me for months, I am offering my beta-reading services. A Message to my Followers who are going to be impacted by Hurricane Florence.

This hurricane is dangerous.

Please, take it seriously.

It is not just a thunderstorm.

Take it from someone who went through Katrina and saw the damage a hurricane can do when it sits and builds.

It changes entire landscapes.

It kills.

Get gas now. The gas stations will begin to either run out, or put a limit to how much gas you can get. Get it now while you can, because I remember distinctly the way the abandoned cars looked on the highway while we were evacuating.

Once that storm hits, the gas stations will shut down. There will be no gas for a week, at least.

You will be stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. Make sure your car is in good working order. The amount of cars left behind on the highway is astounding.

Bring your pets in case of flooding, don’t leave them behind or in a shelter.

Take a picture of every single thing in your house the way it is. Ever dresser. Everything. If it floods, this will help with the insurance.

Power will be out for a week, possibly more. Take anything that will spoil, eat it now/bring it with you/throw it out. You don’t want to come back to a house that is 80°+ inside with spoiled food. It smells disgusting. I know from first hand experience.

Pack as much clothes + whatever else you need as you can. You don’t know what you will be returning to, if anything at all. I hate to say it, but there were so many homes lost in Katrina in mg area to flooding & I didn’t even live in the Soup Bowl.

From what I’ve seen, the outer bands are strengthening. They’re red at this point. This hurricane is getting stronger, and it’s well built. There are no winds to tear it apart. It’s eye is holding together, and that’s terrifying. A well built storm like this one can ruin lives. It’s not a joke.

Please, please stay safe. Evacuate ASAP if you’re in the direct line.

Don’t wait until it is here. That is how you get killed. Do not evacuate in the middle of it. Don’t wait until last minute.

It is always better to be safe than sorry.

Please stay safe.

Listen to the news. Follow their advice.

Leave while you still can, before the highways get clogged up. Go as far in-land as you can. Leave the state entirely if you have to.

We did. And we still felt the effects of Katrina.
