the reddit witcher community can be a pretty rancid place, but the idea of Ciri undergoing the mutations (at least in part) because she knows they will make her sterile is *chefs kiss*

like, the majority of her story is people wanting to get her pregnant against her will so she could birth a prophecy child!

and since her own powers (that people also want to make her use against her will) are linked to her blood, the mutations might cancel those out too (if they aren't failing for other reasons)!

she gets to retake definitive agency over her own body, eliminating the reasons she's spent most of her life either hiding or on the run in one fell swoop, while simultaneously getting to become like the people she grew up with & admired & loved like family!

I'm seeing a lot of people for some reason worried Ciri won't get any female romance options when I feel it should be very obvious she will? I mean besides the fact in W3 there's a dialog option confirming she also likes women but also other than that come on guys, this is the daughter of manwhore of rivia we're talking about. Of course she is going to kiss women and probably lots of them tbh like father like daughter and all that.

I mean there'll probably also be male options too of course but hey bi rep is always nice in my book 🤷🏻‍♂️ icon either way

i see people talking about the poor artistic choices on the netflix witcher show, mainly with questionable costume design and casting choices, but i don’t see anyone talking about how much of a “fuck you” to the whole cosplay community it is.

like, you would think that people who do costume design and creation for a job, with an actual budget, would be better at it than cosplayers armed only with hot glue guns, eva foam and hope.

so i can’t help but take it very personally when i pour my heart and soul into screen accurate cosplays or making a rennaissance inspired doublet for my yen just to see netflix throw some h&m cardigans onto the actors and call it a day.
