My laptop isn't working at all. I swear if it doesn't start working normally again by tomorrow morning I'm throwing it against a wall.

At this point, it seems life doesn't want me to finish writing Chapter 14

Gonna have to push chapter 14 of I Got Soul back to next/ around the 25th. Haven't gotten any time to write on my laptop over vacation, and writing on my phone isn't fun.

Meet my Shockjack kid: Photonwave!

Born after the war, Photonwave shares a great love for science like both of her parents.

Photonwave tends to spend most of her time with Wheeljack working on experiments. She usually needs to try and get Shockwave to do things with her (Shockwave doesn't think he deserved to be a father after the things he did during the war).

Her frame's resemblance to Shockwave's pre-empurata senator look scares Shockwave somewhat. The resemblance also confused many of the younger bots who didn't know of Shockwave's past.

Arrived at destination for day, so done with watching TF Animated for now. I don’t think many people will care for my posts for it, so I'm just going to go at my own pace watching and commenting on it.

In other news, Shockjack kid design is finished. All I have left is to figure out what her name is and I'll post.

So I was going to start my watch-through/commenting of Transformers: Animated during travels today, but kinda fell asleep... for 6 hours. Woke up just before we stopped driving for today, so no Animated. I did at least get a good start on working on my Shockjack kid again.

Going to definitely try to start watching Animated tomorrow.

Did a poll a few months back on what Transformers tv show I should watch, and Animated won. I also said that I would watch Rescue Bots since it placed 2nd and had some strong support.

I'll be traveling a lot over the next few days starting Saturday and will have finally have time I can dedicate to watch one.

I'll also be making posts with my thoughts & comments as I watch, so watch for those if you want

Canon Definitions

So essentially I began with Cybertronian units with explicit definitions in canon that are also widely used in fandom (ie. Vorn = 83 years, Joor = 6 hours, Groon = 1 hour). I then worked my way out from those and tried to keep to rough factors of 6/8/10.

Some terms that did have explicit canon definitions had to be slightly skewed from their value (ie. Breem: 8 → 6 minutes, Klik: 8 → 6 seconds) if their definition contradicted another definition that made more sense/fit better. 

At any rate, obviously no one is obligated to use this standard, but canon Transformers content has been unfortunately… awful at establishing any universal units of time, their relationship to each other, or their equivalents to human units of time.

So this occasionally makes fanfiction an absolute nightmare for people like me with a crap memory who don’t want to constantly have to scroll through a thousand pages of the wiki to remind themselves what the hell a groon is.

So, naturally, I simply spent far too long whipping up this at-a-glance guide to keep track of it & on the off chance that the fandom might adopt it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The people I work with are usually fine, besides the one or two that have come and gone quickly.

I usually find issue with the customers being annoying or just rude. Having to see them again and again usually ticks me off, especially during the long shifts.

Some job shit is seriously pissing me off. Why are people so clueless and annoying and condescending…

progress update

I did end up switching the order of chapters 13-15 like I said I was thinking of doing. Been working hard on writing this chapter from the draft I had, but it's been changing and growing quickly (at 2k words so far and have only used about 7 words of original 500 word draft).

Clearly not making it to a weekend release like I first hoped, but it is definitely coming out this week. Current goal is for release some time on Wednesday, so let's hope I can actually stick to one of my many personal deadlines for once!
