The feeling of finally finishing (the first draft of) a chapter after being blocked for so long is unrivaled. There's been a lot of silly unnecessary stress around these two projects so it's just a massive sigh of relief when things come together.

Now to let it sit for another week before taking a pickaxe to it because I've got company! But THINGS ARE HAPPENING and it feels so good

Small update, but due to irl ONCE AGAIN ramping up to kick around the frail sack of flesh that is my physical body, chapters are going to be a little more delayed. I'd hoped to get back to a one chapter a week schedule, then tried to dial back to one every two weeks instead when that fell through, but it's becoming clear that I might just have to live up to my "it'll be ready when it's ready" warnings after all.

The chapters for both Keyhole and Canvas are still being worked on, rest assured. I'll just have to do so slower than I'd like to for a little while. Might try to aim for one chapter for either fic per month as a minimum target. We'll see.

So.

First of all, Chapter 4 of Keyhole, posted while in queue for normal raids. Sorry if it seems, uh, rougher than usual but I've been utterly wiped out the past week. Maybe I'm sick idk, but the fatigue has been brutal.

Second of all, due to 7.2 dropping in XIV, there will be a pause in any uploads for the next few weeks, as I'm going ALL IN on savage once it drops. Hence why I'm pushing out this chapter now rather than waiting until I'm able to focus properly, so there's something to enjoy in the meantime.

Mark my words there is going to be a scene in at least one of my fics where Trey kisses Riddle's hand and calls him his Queen and Riddle is going to revel in it. Maybe it'll happen in multiple fics. Maybe I'll be greedy and include it in every single thing I ever do from now on because ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh boy

I just noticed the date and how long it's been since the last update to Canvas, and I was going to wait until Friday for things to calm down before updating, but ahhh to hell with it! Maybe a little urgency knowing I don't have another chapter ready and waiting will give me a push through the absolute chaos that is my current irl situation.

Suffering from this again as I stare at the next chapter and attempt to come to terms with my choice of taking cues from a vn gacha story where 90% of the text is DIALOGUE.

I know Twst is this too, but it's a lot easier to morph its dialogue into action compared to something like the entire Atlantis chat in Lostbelt 5.2.

I have quickly come to realize the incredible flaws of taking inspiration from freaking Fate Grand Order for pacing, oh my god why did I do this to myself. Irl is still kicking my ass so that's not helping either. BUT. I'm gonna do it for myself anyway, because then I can make something even better next time.

In other news procrastinating is giving me SO many oneshot ideas, and a little something's gonna be coming on the EN anniversary (or maybe sooner if I get impatient. Probably sooner. Tomorrow maybe :3c)
