i really admire how nickelodeon didn't even really try to make jasper straight. like they gave him a couple girlfriends (each lasting only 1 episode 😭) and were like "yeah no one's buying this" and then proceeded to have him tell Henry he loves him and that they're soulmates. where was that energy when he had a gf? exactly. it wasn't there.

henry danger is genuinely the gayest fucking show ever. like you'd think people headcanoning everyone as lgbtq would be kind of a stretch right? but then you look at the characters in this show and realize it'd be hard to believe any of them ARENT gay. why the hell else would two grown men live together? why else would jasper be obsessed with his guy best friend? why else would Piper and Charlotte dress the way they dress? act the way they act? why would Piper have such an intense and open love/hate relationship with another girl her age? why else would Henry constantly, constantly wear flannels? thinking of any of them as straight is genuinely off putting

weird little recurring henry danger jokes I’m obsessed with

the cute little ‘mhmm��� and they repeat the question. I love when ray repeats it in holey moley when he says ‘tunnels’

the ‘established’ basically when they mention pipers driver’s license

everytime ray says ‘anyray’ instead of anyway

this isn’t recurring it’s only once but when schwoz talks in an american accent for too long so he passes out

One of the reasons I love Henry danger so much is because it’s literally camp.

It appears to take place in some parallel universe where everything is similar but exaggerated; the colors are all bright, the clothes are layered to the point of absurdity, coffee mugs are comically large and see through, and all the technology is sleek and highly advanced, just barely recognizable as cellphones. But at the same time, they use flash drives in multiple episodes.

Every room is decked out in maximalist decor, but it’s all random junk. The hart house displays various pictures and images of dogs that they don’t own. There are shelves full of multicolored glass orbs just for show. (😭!!)

And then the characters themselves? Henry is a thirteen year old boy who actively follows his own color scheme, as seen in all his outfits. Jasper has a bizzarre affinity for muffins and curls his hair every day to maintain the illusion that it’s natural. Charlotte spends more time with Henry’s family than Henry does, and her intelligence may give the impression that she’s the “normal one” but believe me she is just as odd as the rest of them!! Piper has a social media platform in elementary school for unexplained reasons.

And the fact that the city is incredibly dangerous and rife with crime and violence is called swellview? And it looks like that? And the entire concept of dystopia??? It’s camp. Don’t try to tell me it isn’t.
