tap water eh? you do know it's one of those ny/la things right?
Yes. Tap Water gives the SDTH a humble, grounded taste. You do know saying "eh?" is one of those Canadian things, right?

.SDTH. (Recipe #1)
My Father Ron tells this fabulous story from when he was a faculty resident in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was living in one of the dorms with my Mother Marilyn and their Newfoundland Nana, teaching and attending classes while keeping an eye on his rookery's students and their hacks. My Mother and Father love sharing culinary experiences, and one of the restaurants they frequented was called聽The Red Fez, located underneath the elevated train tracks. My Father was directed to the joint by Ira Ewen, a math teacher from his high school in Queens, New York. Apparently it was The Only Place to get hummus. Ira used to say the only trouble with going there was that you had to deal with the throngs of people crawling back like zombies, limping and weak, a crazy spark in their eyes leading them back while chanting in unison:
"huumuusss...."聽
I created this recipe for a BBQ at a friend's house in Sherman Oaks, California. Garlic Broccoli was grilled, PBRs were clinked together for different people and moments in time, and I debuted my Sun-Dried Tomato Hummus to a thundering applause. Really. The neighbors came stomping their feet, only to melt in ecstasy upon devouring a morsel.
It is a basic recipe, as close friends on a Fall Break in New York City would say.
The Ingredients Consist of:
1 can Organic Garbanzo Beans
5 Tablespoons Julienned Cut Sun Dried Tomatos
3-5 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (more if your tomatoes are dry)
3-5 Tablespoons Tap Water
1 handful of Roasted Almonds
1 handful of Fresh Basil Leaves
1/2 a Lemon's Juice
S&P&Mexican Oregano
Whip together your own masterpiece!
Throw your handful of Roasted Almonds underhand into your Kitchen's blending device and pulse the switch until they reach a state one fourth their normal side.聽
Empty your can of Chickpeas into a colander in your sink. Wash the liquid goo from your chickpeas, but do not worry about drying them. No indeed, pour them straight in with the almonds, as the water residue will assist in the blending process.
Include your Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Tap Water, then throw the switch and blend seven seconds.
Throw your handful of Sun-Dried Tomatos in the mix with your right hand, then using your left hand, throw in your handful of Basil Leaves.
Squeeze in your Lemon's Juice, a healthy dash of salt, eight grinds fresh black pepper and three dashes Mexican Oregano.
Blend until your hummus reaches a texture you desire.
Spatula into a bowl and garnish the center with eight whole or smashed Roasted Almonds, five strips of Sun Dried Tomatos and three Fresh Basil Leaves.聽
Share with those you love on chips/crackers, as a sandwich spread, or with vegetables.

Taken from the Introduction of Plant Spirit Healing
George Washing Carver said, "When I am touching that flower I am touching infinity. It existed long before there were human beings on this earth and will continue to exist for millions of years to come. Through the flower I talk to the Infinite, which is only a silent force. This is not a physical contact. It is not in the earthquake, wind, or fire. It is in the invisible world. It is that still small voice that calls up the fairies."聽
