I'm going to say it. The (word in parentheses) meme is way better for tone indication than tone indicators
#no but the og statement is so true tho#like there are so many tone indicators to remember and some of them are so weirdly vague???#if you are “/hj” just clarify what you actually mean in parenthesis. some tone indicators are just redundant too#dont get me wrong. some tone indicators are really good. i personally love using /ref and i dont mind /srs or /j but like#you know you could just clarify what you mean or how you're trying to say something normally or inside of parenthesis?

Toby Fox being worried about fans having a negative reception to characters he likes or finds funny (Spamton, Tenna, etc) feels a bit silly given how excellent he is at writing until you remember that a) even the best of writers still feel insecure about things and get anxiety and b) literally everything about the fandom reception to Alphys at launch

god i wish that i loved writing fanfiction enough to easily write even just 1k words in a sitting. but its sooo hard, how do people even consistently update their fic with 3-5k words each chapter when I can't even write 3k words that I like for months. much less keep a consistent schedule on when i want to write fics since my motivation to do so fluctuates so much !!
#i'm writing a oneshot story for md and so far its at 4k#been working on it for months and I think im only like halfway done since its a big story#might split it up into two chapters but i cant trust myself to post the first chapter and finish the second one in a month#so im just gonna finish the whole fic like 90% before posting first chapter#i already learned from my residual pup fic that I CANNOT do chapter stories#sticking to oneshots and one off stories

it is so blinding stupid the SHEER AMOUNT of tags i have to block to not get spoiled for something . AND THEN I STILL GET SPOILED BC SOMEONE DIDNT TAG SPOILERS - IM JUST GONNA BLOCK THE ENTIRE TAG NOW . SPOILERS OR NOT
#it is very frustrating that people dont respect spoilers#so thats why you have to keep in mind that realistically there will always be ppl who never even bother#after deltarune came out I just filtered the main tag to be safe and I got zero spoilers on tumblr#not ideal but i'd rather see no deltarune content for days up to a year than get spoilered

Kris and Susie
We never hear from anyone in deltarune that Susie bullied them.
No one, except Kris.
And yet
there are hints that Kris might have liked Susie even before her character arc.
It gets supported by how well they get along after it. Kris isn't holding a grudge, they embrace this new friendship with open arms, as if it's something they've been wanting for a while.
But why? Why would Kris like someone who hurt them?
Exactly why Lilo liked Stitch when he did nothing except make her life more difficult. She saw herself in him.

Kris understood Susie the way no one else did. They knew why she lashed out, it's the same reason why they kept pulling pranks and acting out. They felt like an outsider so they might as well play the part.
When they met Susie, they saw someone who was just like them. And they weren't wrong, because ever since they became friends, they've practically been sharing a braincell
