I always direct my friends to your work, you manage to draw him in such a charming light and I adore art of the “showcase” era between him and Charlie getting attention. A joke that would have been funnier if I made it in 2020 - back when we got our first glimpses of these characters. I’ve actually made my peace with Jack Carter’s design since then, it’s funny. 

I sketched this out right after the Wendy update, and then proceeded to procrastinate and fuss around with it for five years. I became lost in clip studio’s panel organizing system because I decided this was a good time to try making a “real” comic. kids, don’t be like me. You don’t need real gutters on your comic pages, you can just draw boxes and call it a day.

I’ll cut myself some slack, cause guess what else happened in 2020? Anyone remember? Yeah? A lot of stuff got waylaid.

I’m still proud of the facial expressions

plus I can draw my favs being all cutesy and that’s never a bad thing

I wanted to showcase some of the animation I saw in this featurette where they talk about the process of developing Ember and her fire mechanics. There were many great snippets of animation that I haven't seen elsewhere. The first test is kind of frightening but I love it. I guess that's one thing Elemental needed more of, more horror ;)

I don't think it's foolish to have grand expectations for something that has proven itself to be exemplary in the past. Maybe if you believed all of your expectations would come true, but not for believing that greatness would follow greatness, nor for expecting a story to begin as it means to continue. I sincerely hope Klei comes through for us, but if they do not... thank-you for being one of the joys of the fandom, and may all that you have given find its way to you in the form of new joys.

this was so nice of you to say, i'm really sorry I didn't respond. things don't always unfold the way we like to, but i guess I can't begrudge them too much - growth is good, even if it's in an unexpected way.

Is that still a thing around your acc? because, to be honest, it just makes me so happy (FGDDJSJ cheesy) also! it's my first time asking someone on Tumblr a thing so, yeah,,, hope you see this one ahhh!!!
