i was working yesterday on painting the bedding weights and wishing i could share my progress, even though the bedroom pack is so barebones… but then i realised… i could lol

like i don’t have to wait and stress myself out and have 80+ objects ready to do a *fancy* reveal, i’m not selling anything 😂 i can just share as i go. it’s better and less stressful for everyone. no more wcifs and “what is taking you so long” asks (although… valid)

why did this just occur to me now? i couldn’t tell you. new year’s revelation maybe

Hi, I remember you recreating a Sims 3 world for your upcoming save. Is there anyway you could post the download link for the Traffic lights used? I’m guessing it’s a conversion—which, I suck at creating. I’m hoping to create my own save and this would help a ton! :)

Hey :3 happy new year !! i just saw a pic of a neighborhood in your savefile you just posted answering someone about for rent, where are those car from that we can see in the your street ? gosh everytime i see a new pic of your savefile there is so much wonderful cc that i cannot seem to find anywhere, is it from you ?

hi, happy new year! the meshes for about 70% of the CC in my save comes from 3D models I found (or bought) online!

i've tweaked all the textures to replace all English text with Simlish. some only have one swatch, some have multiple, depending on how difficult recoloring was. feel free to use them however you like

all of these are debug items to keep from cluttering the catalog, so you'll need to enter "bb.showhiddenobjects" as well as "bb.showliveeditobjects" to access them

if you notice any problems lmk. i've converted hundreds of objects for my save at this point, so oopsies are inevitable

worked briefly on my 'childhood bedroom' ideas and just wanted to share some items i have so far! a ceiling vent, a stamp popcorn ceiling, a old-fashioned closet and a messy bed.

this is how i think i'll share my cc from now on, just a folder that i update continuously before i put everything in an official big post. will share the folder for the kitchen next :)

Have you gotten the chance to play with For Rent? If so, how do you like it?

For Rent was by far my favourite expansion pack ever. like a dream expansion for me. i spent a full night last week playing with it, making stuff, working on my save for the first time in ages, planning a *second* new-york inspired save...

and then i went and saved my lot as a residential rental, and all of my meticulously TOOL'ed neighborhood decorations decided to delete themselves (photo taken prior to catastrophe)

so now i have a vendetta against For Rent and i am in a state of semi-permanent shock. still partially in denial that it happened

pour one out for the deleted neighborhood. god rest her soul

I handpainted my outdoor lights, IRL. Yep, all 100ft of them. These were some of the colors I chose.

These beauties are reminiscent of a Hannukah welcome mat I saw while shopping.

Vintage colors are always classy!

If my basic (I say this with love and laughter) daughter had her way, these would be our lights: muted browns, and a nice pine green.

If winter sunsets could be captured.

I know the hues look similar, but do you know where I pulled these colors from? Starbucks! There's red, a bright pink, and the well-known greens.

For years, I've been trying to figure out how in the world to make lights for everyday and celebratory uses for my pixels. I cannot believe that it has truly been three years, at this point!!

I had reached out to some well-known cc creators and hadn't heard anything. I was really looking for some help, as I'm just a mom/student/worker bee with a little spare time here and there, and I've only ever been self-taught in the realm of recoloring and piecing things together.

This year, I reached out to @awingedllama, on a whim. I was sure that they weren't going to respond, and honestly -- I wouldn't have blamed them, much like I haven't blamed others all along this journey. People are busy with their lives and agendas, and I completely get it. We can't do everything for everyone, y'know. But to my surprise (and UTTER EXCITEMENT), they responded and were phenomenally helpful! Like, I asked a million questions, repeated them a few more times, and dared to ask for a picture tutorial of steps, because I would always miss sooooooooomething little along the way. Even up to this evening, I still am making mistakes and referencing the tutorial like a "good book."

So, here's to @awingedllama... From the bottom of my geeky, old lady heart, know that you're a treasure and a gem. You're incredibly friendly and helpful, and it has not gone unnoticed at any point in time. Thank you for being wonderful, kind, and patient with me. You're the bee's knees. ❤️

Hi, could you please check a problem ? , when I use the functional wall phone , every now and then the action bars of my sims freeze and I have to reset them but even this does not work sometimes !!! Thanks for your help !!!

hi! the only thing i can think is that you're trying to use an interaction you don't have the pack for. if you try to buy a horse or a restaurant or something, and you don't have the corresponding pack, the sim will just stand there and do nothing. i haven't encountered freezing myself but it could potentially happen.

this is because i'm unsure of how to make pack-specific interactions only show up if the required pack is installed. so they still show up even if you only have base game.

i have received a report about the book a vacation interaction not working properly (looking into it!), so if that's what you're having problems with, that might be why.

i'm also aware of some LEs that are being thrown by the phone after the most recent patch

hi! that's a lot of pressure lol. of course i'm still working on it! been in a bit of a sims rut recently but all of my projects are still planned

if you're in need of a good save file in the meantime, i 10000000% recommend @windbrook's save. it is cc free (unlike mine) and quite possibly one of the best things humanity has accomplished to date

i instinctively say “wing’d” because i’m terrible and american

but James Turner (formerlyknownasthesimssupply) pronounced it “Wing-Ed” and it sounded so delightfully medieval i decided that was the canon pronunciation
