Spring Cleaning (Birthday gift Jerry the Junk Drawer deals with getting cleaned)
Jerry the junk drawer has just finished reinforcing the stacks of his collection. Katie the human has shown up with some other plans.
Spring Cleaning
Everything sat perfectly. Jerry finally reinforced the piles of his collection. World shaking steps couldn’t destroy his tight pathways any longer. At some point one of the others would wander by to test his changes. All the things he cared about would finally be safe from the rude stomping. It would be easier to show everything off to Katie too. The human saw the beauty in his collection.
“Cheese and crackers!” Jerry said when a shockingly heavy thump sent him stumbling forward. His reinforcements worked well, only he became displaced. He hummed in pride, this proved his work. Katie would be impressed how he used parts of his collection for this. Tabitha, the old tinfoil roll with bits too small for the human, would be proud of what she became.
A soft knock acted as his warning before Katie pulled him open. Jerry managed to get back on his feet quickly. He dusted off his jacket waiting for the familiar vibrating feeling of the dateviators. He shivered once it started. At first he hated the way it dragged him and his collection out for a human to see, but now he looked forward to these visits.
He smiled as the vibration faded. Except… Katie didn’t join him in the drawer. Jerry fidgeted with some of the bobbles on his jacket. She must not have actually looked at him. That explained everything, except her eyes were clearly focused on his comparatively tiny body. Her shadow made him tense once she leaned closer.
“Katie?” he said. She nodded and he laughed awkwardly. “Oh, wow, usually you wind up in here with me. Not uh, not up there.”
“Yeah, I talked with Skylar,” Katie shrugged. “We realized we could change the settings a bit so I stayed me when talking to you guys.”
“That’s amazing. I uh, have to say seeing you like this when you can see me is uh, different.” Jerry coughed into his fist to cover how awkward he felt. “Speaking of you being all the way up there, how does my collection look? I took that upcycle idea of yours another direction and Tabitha helped to reinforce things so my paths stay clear.”
Katie leaned even closer. Until now Jerry never thought about how large humans were next to him. Her breath could knock all of his things into a mess. A terrifying idea, but she took care. A hand over her mouth when she got so close she had to squint. She hummed a little before sitting back. The smile on her face looked a bit sad. Did I do the upcycle thing wrong?
“This is great Jerry,” she said. He shuffled on his feet. “But… well I didn’t ask Skylar about this out of curiosity.”
“What do you mean?” Jerry asked. Katie’s hand slipped into the drawer. He scrambled back, but it hovered near one stack of his collection.
“I know you’ll hate this, but we need to do a little spring cleaning. It’s gone too far, Jerry.”
“Katie, that’s not a funny joke.”
She sighed and that large hand moved to surround one stack of his collection. Jerry rushed to try and stop her. His hands did nothing to the fingers that matched his height. She easily lifted a stack of his collection up and away from him. Jerry fell to his knees searching the now empty spot for anything.
“No! Not Tabitha too!” he cried.
“I’m sorry, Jerry, the bugs and the smell. This has to happen. I’ll make it quick.” Katie said.
As she promised it was quick. Jerry tried to stop her, his small body lifted a few times up with a stack from his collection. It felt different than the times she opened him, but it felt good too. If only she wasn’t in the middle of destroying everything.
“Jerry, fighting like this isn’t helping anyone,” Katie sighed.
“You’re not helping anyone getting rid of everything! What if we need this later?!” Jerry yelled.
“When are we going to need a stale chip?”
“What if the apocalypse happens?”
“We’ll need more than one stale chip to get by, Jerry…”
After another sigh the giant hand didn’t go for his collection, but Jerry himself. He tried to avoid it, but there was nowhere to hide in the open drawer. Katie easily grabbed him in a fist and lifted him up and out of his home. He tried to fight his way free, but she was probably as big as Dasha right now. Nothing to do other than suffer her whims. Katie dropped him into a pocket at her side.
“It won’t take much longer, Jerry,” Katie said.
Jerry listened to every shift of fabric. Each thunk that meant part of his precious collection was gone forever. He thought she understood. Thought he could love her. She understood. Now she was worse than all the others, using force. He wouldn’t cry, not over her betrayal. He might cry over his collection, but later when she couldn’t see him anymore.
Eventually the sounds disappeared. Jerry was knocked against Katie’s hip as she did something that made her move. A few grunts and the smell of something he knew she often used on Dasha accompanied it. It smelled good, and whatever she did to his drawer kind of felt good, but he wouldn’t forgive her.
“Almost done,” Katie sighed. Jerry crossed his arms. He’d need to hold some kind of goodbye for all of his collection.
Except…
The fabric shifts came again while he remained in the dark pocket. The thunks from earlier were closer and softer now. He tried to climb out, but the fabric was something smooth. It reminded him of Hana, a silk handkerchief Katie received as a gift.
Thunk.
Thunk.
Thunk.
Another deep sigh. Then a hand entered the shockingly comfortable prison he’d been placed in. Jerry didn’t bother to fight it off. He’d get to rest and mourn the losses once it was done. He kept his eyes closed even once he felt the familiar wood of his drawer beneath him. Katie poked him a few times which made it hard to stay determined not to look at her.
“Jerry, at least look at what I did,” Katie asked. He wanted to reject it, but he still liked her.
“Leave after, I can’t forgive you for…” Jerry trailed off as his eyes opened. His collection was still there. Cleaner and more organized even. At least the stacks he had before looked more orderly. No one who had some issues getting along put together. Some things were gone, but…
“I only kept the food and things there’s no way we can salvage out,” Katie’s voice made him jump. When he spun around, her lips were right behind him. Jerry jumped back, landing in the now open area of his drawer. Area that used to be covered.
“Cheese and crackers! You can really scare a guy doing that!” He kept a hand where his heart would be if he were human. Katie chuckled. “I thought you said you were cleaning…”
“I did. Everything we can’t keep in the drawer I have here,” Katie bent over and lifted a small chest. “Once you’re realized we can say goodbye to it together. Outside, bury it like a little funeral.”
“I… wow…”
“I know it’s important to you Jerry, but we’re gonna have to do some of this the hard way.”
“And Tabitha?”
Katie rolled her eyes. Gently, she guided him to a corner where the reinforcements sat waiting for him to use them again. She smiled at him the same way she did when they made the carousel. Maybe he could get behind a little of this now and then.
“Do you forgive me?” she asked.
“Warn me you aren’t throwing it all away! That was worse than thinking my drawer had termites!” Jerry turned away to try and hide his blush.
“Wait, when did you and Dasha think my desk had termites?”

Just curious, what would have happened if that other giant didn't interupt Lilith and reader's meeting? Did she plan our meeting? Or was it more of a spur of the moment kind of thing?
Lilith in that first story had definitely been watching the reader. Full on stalker waiting for you to go adventure
She planned to drag you along on a date she mapped out and to enjoy herself with you. None of her more murderous traits on display.
she didn't consider anyone else making comments or you saying no. So it was kind of bound to have a fall out of some kind.

(lol I hope it was obvious she was daydreaming in the panels with the sparkly pastel-y clouds in the background).
Kayde is known for talking anyone's ear off if he's given the opportunity. His friendly demeanor and extroverted personality makes him quite popular with most people. Bryn however found this side of him to be incredibly annoying at first, but she slowly grew to enjoy his lengthy stories of his adventures as a knight of the royal court and beyond.
She would never admit it at first, but as time went on, her feelings for him grew, full on crushing on him. Although this deeply conflicted with her. Not only were fairies and humans great enemies during this time, but it was such a taboo concept to even entertain. Fairies and humans could never be romantic toward each other. How could that even work?
But little did Bryn know, Kayde was also starting to fall for her too.

I said I'd show the moment Gorm started to let humans get close again. Here we are!
When Gorm realized that he was getting attached to Green he instantly wanted to distance himself from them, afraid of being hurt again. Thus he started to ignore and avoid them. With Green not understanding a thing, leading to them luring Gorm into picking them up so they could confront him.
It may have happened hundreds of years ago. But time is relative to Gorm and it may as well have happened a few months ago. For all he knows, the captain and crew are still out there.
If it's not clear; Gorm's catching Green with his nose so they don't fall. Green's a lil clumsy. But hey it worked in their favor! xD

Birthday Gift: Abel the Table meeting Pep the Borrower.
Summary: Meet Pep, the borrower, as she runs into Abel, the table.
Contains: G/t first meet, very light on the angst. Brief mention of borrowers being killed by humans. Playing loose-y goose-y with the game logic.
Wordcount: 1.5k
~~~
Things had been strange in the house ever since the human had started working from home. And now, with those glasses that suddenly burst through the front door in a gift box? Things were getting much more weird.
More voices, more footsteps than one human could make sounded off at all hours of the day and night and Pep could swear she was being watched. They had heard voices and eyes in the walls, the vents, the cabinets, she even had one seen a pair of hands materialize from the floor, only to vanish a moment later.
They were being watched, she just knew it.
What was watching them, however, wasn’t hunting her. At least, it wasn't hunting yet. There was always a chance whatever it was would strike any minute.
Late in the afternoon, Pep was on a borrowing run. It always felt risky to just go on a borrowing run, but it was even more risky these days with those mysterious voices and movements, more humans in the house that they just couldn’t find, no matter how hard she looked.
Pep was underneath the coffee table in the living room now, listening intently. The human had gone upstairs a while ago, and not returned, but she swore that there were voices coming from nearby, a voice that certainly didn’t match the human of the house. It wasn’t anything distinguishable, almost muffled to their ears, but it was voices, multiple voices.
With no shoes on the floor, no voices getting louder or quieter, and the one human Pep was sure that actually existed upstairs with no sign of coming back down, she had to make a quick break for the food that had been left on top of the coffee table. The human had left a plate with half a sandwich on it up there, as well as a cup or a soda or something. Food was food, and Pep couldn’t pass out something this easy to get, this unguarded.
She dashed out from beneath the table, climbing hook already in hand. At the right distance, they hurled the hook up with a practiced precision and it landed right at the edge of the wooden coffee table, where she aimed it.
It took a slight finagling with the hook, but they managed to secure the hook in a crack well worn into the top of the table, her anchor point for this table. They heaved on the rope, and found it secured. She wasted no time in starting their climb.
However, about halfway up the rope, something really weird happened.
“Woah there, little one!” A man’s voice, thick with a southern accent came out of nowhere and everywhere.
Before Pep could decide to jump or not, the entire rope jerked in her grip. The ground dwindled away beneath them and an entire human man was suddenly getting up from the floor, seemingly coming out of the coffee table itself! Her rope was stuck in the shoulder of this person’s jacket, pulling them far into the air. She tightened her grip and tried to tighten the pinch with their feet, but the rope was swaying like crazy, and the rope slipped from between their feet.
Heart pointing in her ears, Pep crashed right into this suddenly appearing man’s side. The jacket felt like very stiff leather as she hit her face on it. The impact forced their hands to release their grip on the rope, and she fell.
Usually, falling from this kind of height meant certain death, but instead they landed in a warm, soft, leathery palm. Pep might have just preferred a quick death falling to the ground instead of being in the hands of a human, but this was far beyond anything she could have imagined this trip going.
Now that the world wasn’t wildly swinging around or the ground rushing up to meet her, Pep was able to actually take a look at this man that seemed to have burst out of the coffee table. The first word that came to their mind when she actually took in the large cowboy with them cupped in his hands was ‘solid.’ Even for a human, this guy was big, and he looked built to last.
It looked like he was wearing wood, almost. His grey pants had a layer of wood strapped to them, like chaps. And that stiff jacket also looked like wood, with table accents stitched onto them, and there were carvings Pep recognized etched into the wood. His hat, initially looking like a cowboy’s hat, was actually made of two table shapes stacked on top of each toher. A taller one up top that let his quiff of brown hair poke out, and the brim was just a brim shaped table, four stubby legs able to be seen around the outside. Underneath the strange jacket was a grey and white plaid-patterned shirt, with about three or so buttons undone to reveal his considerable chest hair and pale skin. A quick glance down showed he had a bit of a belly hanging over his belt, complete with a table-setting belt buckle.
When they looked up at his face, Pep was completely taken aback by the kind expression on his face. He had brown eyes that felt incredibly warm, a thick brow furrowed with concern, and neatly trimmed brown beard that padded out his jaw.
“Well, hello there, little buddy.” His mouth, hidden under his mustache stretched out in a grin. “Sorry if I spooked ya’ by getting up, I hadn’t expected someone to be hangin’ on my shoulder.”
Pep’s voice failed as he dislodged the climbing hook from where it was lodged on the shoulder of his jacket and set gently in his palm next to her.
“There, with that out of the way, let’s get properly introduced. So, first thing’s first- name’s Abel, and I’m the tables ‘round here. Who might you be, little ‘un?”
It took an embarrassing number of attempts for Pep to finally speak, with how their mind was racing with everything before her. This man was actually the table?! How could that be possible? But, it would explain all the weird happenings of the house if the furniture was coming alive. But did that mean that they had told the human about Pep’s presence? What did this table-man want with her?!
“I’m Pep.” They managed to force out. “The borrower.”
“Borrower, eh?” He raised her a little closer to his face. “I know we’ve seen ya running ‘round the place, but never was able to put a name to yer cute little self. It’s a pleasure to finally be able to meet’cha face to face.”
We?! Oh no. Pep glanced around, wondering if any more of these furniture people were going to start popping out of things.
“What’s wrong? Ya know, as a table, it’s my job to hold things up all over the house. I can help soothe whatever’s got you so spooked.”
Pep swallowed. “A-are you going to tell the human about me?”
Abel’s face turned to confusion and slight concern. “I don’t plan on it. Why are ya so scared of the human? They seem like the perfectly upstanding sort.”
“Humans hurt us!” They blurted out without really thinking it through.
“'Us?’ I don’ think that-”
“Things like me.” Pep gathered her climbing rope and started coiling it, not looking Abel in the eye just in case they saw him getting angry. “Humans kill us when they catch us, or they kill us without ever knowing we ever existed. One day, you scrounge for scraps to survive and the next you're running for your life because the human called an emergency pest control service.” Her hands were trembling as they stowed her rope. “It's just what happens to people like me.”
Abel softly exhaled through his nose, and his hands cupped a little more to bring them close to his chest. “Alright, Pep. I'll keep you secret from the human, and get to passing word around to keep ya on the down low. If you're hidin’ from the human, well, don't you worry, I won't let 'em getcha.”
Pep looked up. He looked so genuine in his offer, and also like his heart was breaking to pieces thinking about Pep's living situation. “Thank you, Abel.”
“It ain't no problem.” He turned to the coffee table that still existed behind him. There lay a mostly-eaten sandwich and an empty soda can. “Is this what you were climbing up me to get at?”
Pep nodded. “It’s food the human won’t notice if I take a little bit.”
“You deserve better food than that, little one.” Abel rubbed the pad of his index finger against Pep’s back, warm, broad, and oddly comforting. “C'mon. I know Freddy's got somethin’ you'd like that the human won’t miss.”
“Who’s Freddy?” Pep shifted to cling better to Abel’s thumb as he started to walk.
“He’s the fridge. You’ll love him, he’s always excited to meet new people.”
