Himaruya only said that Portugal was "Spain's neighborhood"... Nothing else. That is even why fans keep going on with Spaport 😅 if it's your headcanon, then Okay. But let me correct that Spain and Portugal are not brothers in Canon (yet... Or until Himaruya remembers them again).

Since I'm from Azores... And portuguese, I have to say that the surnames for your OC aren't accurated. Azores is a portuguese territory, so it doesn't make much sense he have Spanish surnames. (Leandro is OK... But everything else no.)

I was uncertain about the surnames since they're Spanish, but I have an explanation for my decision. The creator of Hetalia, Himaruya, stated that Spain and Portugal are brothers but unfortunately for now we know only Spain's surnames and I don't know if Himaruya will give them to Portugal as well or if he will chose Portuguese surnames instead. I really hope he will give Portugal different surnames, so I could give them to Leandro as well!

 Hello! I’m the creator of this character and I just wanna spend some general infos about him and this blog.

Leandro Fernandez Carriedo is Azores’ personification, as a matter of fact he’s Spain and Portugal’s little brother (this is based on my personal headcanon about Portugal and Spain being brothers and since Portugal doesn’t have surnames I decided to gave Spain’s ones to Leandro). His bday is on 8th June and he owns different parrots as pets (the most popular are a male cockatiel named Sardinha and a male light blue lovebird named Ciel). He’s a nice and happy guy who enjoys scuba diving and collecting shells on the beach, wandering in nature and who loves animals and flowers a lot. Maybe because of his connection with nature he can be truly empathetic and sensitive, especially towards love affairs. He’s fond of spicy food and sweets and he loves milk and mint drink. As a producer of it, he smokes cannabis sometimes. As a gentle soul, Leandro gets along with everyone and doesn’t hold any grudge about past time, but as stated by his anthem he can show a really rebel and aggressive side to the ones who try to control him. He is part of the Tomato Gang.

I don’t remember exactly when I’ve conceived the idea of an Azores OC, but I developped and named him just recently. Please note that this is not a roleplay blog. This is what would be like if he had a Tumblr blog and hopefully something that will help me to refine my character thanks to your questions, so, please, feel free to ask him everything! I’m not an artist, so I will use picrew images, real photos and the anime Horimiya’s original works since he is really similar to Izumi Miyamura. Please also note that I’m not Portuguese, but Italian, so I could be a little bit inaccurate about it, and, PRETTY PLEASE, don’t hate me but I ship him A LOT with The Netherlands because they’re aesthetically pleasant and opposites attract (so, yeah, for me they’re basically engaged). It is also very likely that you will see other OCs of mine in this blog, such as Luxembourg, since she is a very close friend of Leandro and a member of the Tomato Gang as well.
