Just finished the Angel 2022 comics serie. Why the hell Joss keeps killing Wesley? It seems like he just loves to make him suffer as much as possible and then kill him. My heart can't take it anymore. Is there a reality in the wheedon verse where my poor Wes is happy? 🥹

Just thinking about the fact when in the end Illyria is holding Wesley in her arms, she asks him if he wants her to lie to him. So she pretends to be Fred. That was the lie. But then she says to him that it won't hurt much longer and soon he will be where Fred is. And that's part of the lie too, because Fred's soul doesn't exist anymore. She won't be on the other side, waiting for him. Wesley and Illyria both know this, but she still lies to him and he still listens to her, because he's dying and why not? Why not take that little comfort that she has to offer, that little moment of happiness after everything he had to endure?

Just thinking about it is tearing me up. Why do I do this to myself? 🥲

I just realized that here Wesley used the same expression that Faith used in the episode Five by Five. "I need to know if you're in the game" is the same thing Faith told Angel when he came rescuing Wes and she was threatening to kill Wes so that she could be sure that Angel was actually in the game.

I'M NOT OK.

I just found out that Wesley wasn't suppose to die at the end of season 5. The only reason they killed him off was because the show got cancelled. If it'd got renewed, Wesley was suppose to go throught this beautiful and dark arc with Illirya and Fred. WE WERE ROBBED, DAMMIT.

What makes you think you can do anything? You couldn't even watch! Everyone knows you got fired because you couldn't do anything right. Nothing is gonna make him proud of you. All those hours locked up under the stairs and you still weren't good enough. Not good enough for Daddy, not good enough for the Council. What makes you think these people want you around any more than the others did?
